We know there are red flag laws that could have - should have - interdicted the Buffalo shooter, and that's nearly always the case when one of these cockroaches goes off the rails. A good 1st step would be enforcing the laws we already have, that are in place to stop exactly this sort of bs.

In Florida, Polk County Sherriff Grady Judd has an armed teacher program in his county - the same county as the Lakeland school shooting. Teachers & staff who volunteer have to pass an exhaustive background check, and then undergo training even more intensive than his own deputies have to go thru. There are dozens of programs like it nationwide. There ought to be hundreds more.

With what? Any normal type of service weapon/sidearm is a toy pop gun compared to what these boys have been legally able to buy when they turn 18.

Not all teachers and staff at public schools want to carry guns. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority would say no. Plus, they are there to teach. It is up to us to ensure that they have a safe place to do so. Do we really want our children to spend the bulk of their days in a place that's run like a prison in a war zone? How is that "the American dream?"

Can you link to even one article where a guy with an AR-15 or something similar was stopped by "a good guy with a gun" before he tore up a classroom full of kids?
