    "Not all teachers and staff at public schools want to carry guns." You didn't address that issue.

    Do you think we should hire only combat veterans to teach our kids? Or are you even willing to admit that most public school teachers are just not "gun people?"

    This may shock some, but as a gun owner, I would like to see the 2nd Amendment repealed and replaced with something relevant to modern life. The founders didn't even have bullets, just musket balls. The idea of a citizens militia is no longer sensible, having long since been replaced by police officers. And "mental health issues" were a mystery.

    I think gun ownership should be a privilege, not a right, just like driving a car.

    When you go to a stadium where they have armed guards do you feel like your are in a prison or something? How about a public building? How about an airport. Why would children feel like they are in a prison?

    They never have anything but insults and dismissals. They don't give a damn how many people get killed because of their stupid rights to bear arms. And, most people won't even call 911 if they witness a crime taking place so the "good guy with a gun" is just more BS.

    If weapons were in a non-heterosexual person's bedroom or a woman's womb, they'd have everything in the world to say to about controlling them.

    I have not nor have I seen anyone claim a gun is the only way to defend yourself but against someone with a gun or a knife or a number of other weapons it certainly is a good one. But if you are the attacker you have a lot more choices don't you?

    Do you think that would solve the problem?

    Other civilized nations have depressed people in need of mental health attention, but they don't have mass shootings like this. The ONLY difference is the proliferation of guns.

    No I don't know it all.... I just get tired of hearing ignorance repeated over and over.

    So I posed the same question to you that I always posed everyone that says there was only muskets at the time of the second amendment....

    At the time the first amendment was written there was no Internet TV or radio there was only the written word and the spoken word.... So should the first amendment only cover those?

    I can never quite get a straight answer out of people on this one. What say you?

    Who is a lot of people? I always have my fist, but I would rather have a gun how about you? If someone is coming at you with a knife, you could defend yourself with a knife too but wouldn't you rather have a gun?

    What is your point here you are trying to make?

    Yeah they do and they have mass knife attacks and attacks with cars and attacks with bombs.

    You don't let a good tragedy go to waste.

    These people do not give a crap about life. Is it 800 people a year die in Chicago is victims of homicide. You know why you don't hear about them you can't make that about gun control. And these people can't manipulate emotions with it.
