No a build your own is a 100% lower. Its been drilled out etc. An 80% hasn't been drilled out all the way and so cannot accept the parts that make it qualify (sort of but not really in the case of AR15s. Which is ****ing hilarious by the way) under the definition of 'firearm".
Using a drill press and a dremmel and some other tools I'll finish the work, making an actual functional lower that THEN is a 'build your own'.
This is more like a partially manufacture your own.

Suppressors just make the sound of the shot not quite loud enough to cause permanent hearing loss. If you have to unexpectedly shoot, or if you don't want to wander the woods unable to hear much of anything, suppressors are perfectly valid for the "deer hunter" philosophy of one shot.
FFS they were invented to suppress duck hunting shotguns initially.

Go look up a decibel chart and come back to me. 1 shot from a deer rifle unprotected WILL damage your hearing, immediately and permanently. More will make it WORSE but one is enough.
