I look around my house at objects I bought at Walmart two years ago and they all cost 30% more now.

Are you going to deny that?

My wife is insanely particular what she feeds her cats and horse. She doesn’t do Friskies or 9 Lives.

Yeap crazy, I've had to switch brands 4 times in the last 6 months because it was out everywhere. Not a big deal unless like me you have competitive trial dogs, some with stomach issues. On Biden, let him run that mouth, the middle class and the poor are getting killed and we're about to hit where a gallon of gas matches 1 hours pay of minimum wage. Party of the people lol, finally most are learning.

    She only eats science diet

We tried a bag of the fancy food and had to donate it to the shelter because she wouldn’t eat it

Here's the ticket; 3 lbs of chicken breasts, freshly cooked in a crock pot. 30% of a can of low sodium spinach, one can sliced carrots, 2 cups cooked brown rice-turn the whole thing into a delicious and fresh dog food mix, add additional vitamins and glucosamine from petco. twice a week for 3 dogs under 10 lbs, works out to be about $18 a week.

Things have gone up like crazy here but no one skimps on pet stuff.

Not what the thread is about.

I'm happy with Wisconsin. I have no intention of going to Commiefornia.

Yes. Biden's been great for corporate profits, but not for workers real wages.

Survey says gas, groceries, political divide carrying a heavy weight.

“A trip to the grocery store and gas pump isn’t helping anyone’s blood pressure. Expenses are like that crazy driver in the high-speed lane who can’t slow down.”

Is Team Biden Purposefully Crushing the Middle Class?

"$1 out of every $6 that people earn has been lost to inflation in a single year." Or, just this year's inflation takes everything you earn for 80 minutes out of each 8 hour work day. Where you used to be able to use the earnings for all 8 hours to meet your expenses, now you have to make ends meet with only the earnings of 6 hours and 40 minutes. The rest is all destroyed by Biden/Dem inflation.

I know y’all don’t want to hear this but from what the gas executives are saying and what OPEC is doing I don’t think gas prices are going to ever see a major reduction again below $4.00. In the first 3 months of the year, Chevron's profits rose 33% over 2021. Shell's is up 42%, Conoco Philips is up 43%, and British Petroleum's profits are up 51%.

And they are not intending to drill according to those executives 60% of which have cited "investor pressure to maintain capital discipline"
    upload_2022-6-7_18-0-31.png

Then we have quotes like this:
"Whether it's $150 oil, $200 oil or $100 oil, we're not going to change our growth plans," — Scott Sheffield, CEO of Pioneer Natural Resources

Pioneer, along with Devon Energy and Continental Resources, will be "very thoughtful in ramping activity up" after many boom-and-bust cycles — Rick Muncrief, CEO of Devon Energy

"One of the primary objectives we've had ... is less about volume and volume targets and more about the quality and profitability of the barrels that we're producing," — Darren Woods, CEO of Exxon

I hope I am wrong and this is just and administration issue but all signs point to other things. I know it is easy to point blame when it isn’t your “team” but do these facts concern you?

Walmart has plenty of cash to fill their shelves. They just bought the Denver Broncos for 4.65 billion.

Blame Trump for ignoring Covid which ran thru factories and Refineries.

People couldn't work which created the supply shortages

Add to that Republicans refusing vaccinations, masking and distancing which fueled the Virus which ran thru factories and Refineries

Trump would be standing at the Podium shouting " Not my Fault " and doing nothing

President Biden is doing a Great Job

I don't believe you. We just purchased all the dog food, vitamins, treats and meds for our two GSD's on Sunday from Amazon. Got delivered yesterday.

My wife won’t feed her two cats regular food because she says it causes urinary problems along with other grief, so she buys the good stuff and that’s in short supply. I had a Persian cat that lived for 17 years on 9 lives, and when my wife went to get it they were out. She was sorta relieved because switching diets causes our cats to have diarrhea issues. And it’s amazing how finnicky cats can be about food.

lower the costs to drill and refine oil, lower the taxes, and the oil companies can lower costs and maintain profits.

Why are the executives of these companies not indicating this is an issue?
    upload_2022-6-7_18-45-41.png

So you are of the belief that gas companies are just not making enough money so if we can lower the cost to drill they will not simply keep prices high anyway?

We are at the point where 61% of those industry respondents have said they would go into growth mode and 29% said no number would make them go back into growth mode. All the while profits are up 50%.

They have also indicated a labor shortage, why would they open new facilities if they cannot staff the current ones.

How is this just not corporate greed combined with a global labor and supply chain disruptions?

The first quarter's contraction and sky high inflation say otherwise.
