"Griner's wife, Cherelle Griner, told the AP that she has "zero trust" in the U.S. government after its handling of her wife's detention." end snip

Well we finally get to see her. I think she looks ok. Sad she and her wife lost all trust in the government.... but understandable with Biden in control. Hopefully he loses at midterms and a stronger president gets her out of russia.

She looks like she is still conscious unlike Otto Wambier who was returned in a comatose state under the Trump administration.

Some people think they’re above the law and those same people think they’re above the laws of other countries. I’m sure this girl knew about the ramifications of taking illegal substances into Russia, and if she got caught she probably thought Russia would honor all the cards she can play here. Sorry, Russia isn’t woke or politically correct.

Right now the only hope this girl has is the US government and her partner is disrespecting it. The other one disrespected Russia’s laws. Typical, they only want what they want and if they can’t get it they start with the insults.

Her nightmare is self induced and she can’t blame the United States for it.

Their elitist attitude means diddly to Russia.

she hasn't returned fyi so can't really make that comparison. Otto looked fine until he didn't too.

Funny thing is, when this topic was once broached regarding the Browder sanctions, Putin offered basically a trade off where if we wanted Americans tried in American courts, then Russians should be tried in Russian courts. We of course, had refused that. It's that refusal that makes extradition in this case, nearly impossible. Even more than that Amanda Knox case.

Considering the cultures of a few other countries, Griner could have done worse than Russia. Remember when that kid got caned in the Philippines? I think it was the Philippines. I think some countries have death sentences. Other countries would have doubled the punishment for being gay.

I’ve asked this before; now that the world knows she’s a drug user, will the WNBA suspend her?

So she agrees with everyone else about Biden being untrustworthy. I guess that's a start!

Search engine says ... same way you said the 2018 midterms were people jumping off the "Trump Titanic".

Sound's like she (or possibly he?) is getting the 6-Jan political prisoner treatment.

Once again, taking my statement completely out of context and insulting the intelligence of the entire forum.
Here is the context of my statement, in relation the statement that I responded to.
I will go R-E-A-L S-L-O-W, so please stay focused...
    Thx in advance.
Here is the quote from the OP:

"Hopefully he loses at midterms and a stronger president gets her out of russia."

    And, my response:

"HOW (Exactly) is Biden going to "lose at midterns"?
    He isn't up until 2024..."

NOW, IF the OP Statement Was:
"Hopefully Biden's Democratic Party loses at the Midterms, and in 2024 a Stronger President gets elected and gets her out of Russia"
^That would have been unambiguous and made more sense.

BUT, that wasn't how the statement was worded.
    Thus, my response.
    ___________

And, apparently, the OP is expecting Griner to be there until (at least) some time in January 2025.
Because, that is the earliest that a Newly-Elected "stronger president" could get her out.
    Get it now?
Nice try but I deal with teenagers for a living. You lose.
Once again, thank you for your meticulous attention to every keystroke of the monumental contribution that I have made to PF since Feb. 2016.

I just learned that women doing lay ups is, and I'm not making this up, big tv in Russia.

If you loaned me a Lambo and I could drive to front row tickets at a wnba game with Koni Demiko as my escort and comped all food and beverages I still would not go, and I adore Koni.

Once again, not even addressing the main point.
Taking only one section of my post (completely out of context), and insulting the intelligence of the entire forum.
In any event, I would suggest some new material.
After several years, hasn't this fixation on my content grown rather boring?
The OP Still HASN'T explained why he expects Griner to be there until at least the afternoon of 1/20/25.
Which is the earliest a "stronger president" could get her out of Russia.

Do you actually expect Russia to hold Griner for another 30+ Months?

    Really?
So? Now you are backpedaling on a "stronger president" getting her out?
    Cool...
Glad to see you admit that there is nothing that Biden (or any subsequent President) can do.
It is a start. Baby steps.
