The geographic division of a new Union and Confederate states of America

That is right. The only way to save America, or at least the American dream is to dump the red states.

They want war and control. We just want freedom from their tyranny.

The Senate is the biggest reason the country has failed. It gives many trump voters 50-70 times the representation in Congress compared to the free Blue States. The notion of equal representation is a joke. That has given the fanatical minority control.

 

This has got to be one of the most monumentally stupid ideas I've ever seen on this forum.

I haven't been to remotely all parts of the U.S. but I'm vehemently opposed to allowing any of it to leave.

Can someone give me a link to any blue state that has expressed an official desire to secede from the Union?

That is obviously a first step
because none have. This is a new idea for us, on the West Coast but Texas is also discussing succession. . Dems, progressives that dominate the blue states, need to see the advantages to a political divorce and then we can work toward declaring independence.

 

Well then your energy would probably be better spent writing something like this to your representatives instead of a somewhat obscure internet forum with a handful of people who stay up all night.

 

I am willing to sit back and laugh at those spouting secession. Just like I laughed at those who said they would leave the country if Trump won.

There really isn't such a thing as red states and blue states. If you look at the political map county by county, most of the country is red, including a lot in California, New York, and other "blue states". It seems to me that it would be unfair to turn red counties over to the blue team, just because the so called state is "blue".

 

Its just as unfair to turn blue states over to a Red trump nation, but you don't seem to have that problem.

 

Actually I do. In fact, I'm not a Trump supporter. But, I will defend him from the left's constant nonsense over the last five years, such as new bombshell secondhand heresy testimony that Trump, God forbid, lunged for the steering wheel in his car, when they refused to take him where he wanted to go, which is his right as a citizen and president. But, schedule an impromptu breaking story about heresy new evidence about Trump lunging for a steering wheel. I mean, come on. Is this really the best the hearings can come up with?

 

Well the solution to that problem of blue states having to live under the thumb of a 'red federal govt' is to allow them self determination. We cannot make this work anymore. There is no real democracy to protect anymore, no shared values, no shared aspirations and no mutual respect. its time for Blue states to leave and do their own thing.

 

Then the ingrate traitors in the "blue states" can just change their values and be done with it.

It's not segregation, it's recognizing that red and blue America are culturally incompatible and always have been. If only Lincoln had realized this.

Um sure but the issue is the politics. Can't even agree on what murder is (abortion) or whether we should be secular or theocratic why should we be the same country?

 

Because most of us were born into it. You don't get to simply get rid of your family whenever you want.

 

Civil war over who gets the west coast. What about the divide between Illinois and New York?

Maybe the city dwelling elites should just get the cities that's all they have in California, Portland, Illinois, Washington and new York. What makes you think you deserve the entire state.
