We have to give them sufficient incentive to want to separate too. I think we can!

As much as they complain, you would think "Hey, wanna get rid of liberals?!?!" would be enough.

Pack the SC with 4 more liberal judges and show no mercy, Win at any cost just like they do. They have proven to me this is already a war. We are seeing the birth of tyranny and it ain't from the left.

They just took away your right of privacy and wish to impose their religious laws on everyone else.

most people have a decent life with a job and all the responsibilities, nobody is going to risk all that by starting any civil war....its only rightwing media, that makes money off of stiring up discontent and anger, and has for decades, yes your precious FOX entertainment network

Trump almost started one. And the pressure is continuously building. Even now we are seeing States ignoring Federal Laws by legalizing pot.

There is no need for a civil war or secession or anything like that. Liberals need to be called out more often. They need to be opposed more often. Society has allowed this silly garbage to go on long enough. Don't let lefties get away with their nonsense any longer.

I think you don't get it. You think "Compromise" is for the Democrats to propose something, the Republicans whittle that down, and the whittled version becomes law, in which Democrats get something, Republican got nothing: compromise.

The reason for this secession hissy fit is because of Roe v Wade being overridden by Dobbs. It simply returned the decision back to the states. I think history shows that's the correct decision AND the one that disarms the national hysteria on abortion by letting each state decide. Why do I think that? Look at the very similar situation in physician assisted suicide. In Washington v. Glucksberg the court upheld Washington's ban on physician assisted suicide but not in a way to preclude other states making other decisions. The result? Now 9 states have legalized physician assisted suicide, 33 states prohibit it, the rest ignore it. The consequence of that is that we hardly ever discuss it on this forum because it's not a national issue, even though we no doubt disagree, each state can do it's own thing. Returning abortion to the states will hopefully return that dumb issue back to a states only issue.

Since you are not getting secession, this is the compromise that will help provide civil peace. Of course, you may not want civil peace, you may want war, but if you prefer war to peace when there is peaceful path available, well that would be tragic.

Clearly you're missing where the calls of secession are coming from.

It will be a vast red nation with little to mid sized blue dots scattered around

Human history revolves around war, conflict, etc. There will be bloodshed on a wide scale on American soil one day again. Will we live to see it? That’s anyones guess.

Well I'm sure the fine folks in red states would certainly be okay if the blue states hauled ass. Good luck eating dirt and living in the dark.

I doubt the toddlers are actually emotionally unhinged enough to try actually try to throw that level of hissy fit. If they do, I'll gladly contribute to the therapy fund.

A problem easily solved by binkies and bwue bwankies. Ah, I see what's going on, now. This is the ACTUAL issue with the formula shortage. Makes a lot more sense now.

Actually, I just see it as the west coast states and hawaii. The east coast can do its own thing, just as Trump-land can.

Maybe you missed it but it's your comrades that are starting all of these threads about secession.

Their feelings are hurt because of supreme court has actually been ruling with the Constitution lately

The states aren’t going to be small enough to make a break up work. It will have to be by county or large numbers of people will be trapped in the wrong nation. There are rural red areas in blue states and urban blue areas in red states to be considered if going through with this nonsense

Well, I know I am personally fine letting those eastern oregon counties decide to join 'Greater Idaho' as some have suggested as long as there is a vote. I always have felt that way If they will be happier, I think we should give those red eastern counties in a bon voyage party.

But sizable sections of California, Oregon, and Washington will join with Idaho to form Greater Idaho and be red. Those of us in inland California north and east of Sacramento would leave California in such a scenario. Rural southern and eastern Oregon and rural Washington will do likewise.

The counties of Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, and Plumas in California would join the Oregon counties in the move to Idaho.

I dont really see civil war as a serious possibility, at least not in the sense of armies fighting eachother. Secession could be a very real possibility, but if a state or region dies secede, I dont see fedgov invading it 1860s style and surviving the political fallout.

Whats more likely is a region seceding and then the Chinas of the world using the confusion to invade their Taiwans while the 800 pound gorilla in the room is distracted.
