Poll reveals white Americans see an increase in discrimination against other white people

I know it's hard to prove discrimination. And there may be disagreements over what constitutes discrimination. Where are you on the empathy scale:

Discrimination is a bogeyman. It is not inherently bad. I discriminate against people who cannot pay for my product every day of the week.

 

Yet another example of white Americans blaming "black" for racism and black Americans blaming "white" for racism while they all blind themselves to the one common factor.

 

That isn't discrimination against people though, it's discrimination based on circumstances, significantly, circumstances that can be changed. If a customer doesn't have the money to pay then obviously you don't serve them but if the same person comes back later with the money, you then will. If you refuse to serve someone because of their race, there is nothing to do to change that (nor, obviously, should they need to).

I have kids who complain about a kid who has an emotional support toy in class. Basically a fidget spinner. The kid needs it. I have to explain to 5-6 year olds that sometimes fairness means one person has something that will help them do what everyone else can do. The kids have to think about it but they can understand the concept. It is no different than say a kid needing extra time because they have a learning disability.


Why are conservatives so emotionally stunted they cannot understand such a simple concept?

 

We were in the process of getting over it starting with the 1960's. But in the past 15 years or so racism has regained some impetus with most of it aimed at white males. The difference, though, that I don't think white males care. I know I don't.
