It would help if you would read their justification instead of just popping off about something you don’t understand.

Good word... justification.... it's about all MAGA has left anymore, so use it often....

I totally understand what's going on here.... One day you will too... If Mommy lets you read a mean history book...

Lol you do realize this ruling will be in place if democrats take power and refuse a Republican nominee right?

And don’t worry, whiny bitches ignoring me really isn’t a problem.

I'm fine with that, but, it's not required. Whether the majority refuses to vote or votes and votes it down, it's still a refusal to confirm.
I understand that this is your view, but, it's not the view of the WI constitution and where your comments refer to the US Senate, to the majority of the US Senate.

But, since you brought it up:
If Biden fears the GOP will ban abortion nationwide, why does he support a filibuster carve-out?

    Post-Cog Biden.
First reason his stance is idiotic: Republicans can't ban abortion at the federal level while he's president without veto-proof GOP majorities in both Houses. And while the GOP will likely take the House, they certainly won't take 2/3rds of it, and they may not take the Senate, at all. Currently polling gives them a good path to 49, with some real luck, 50 and it's damn free solo climb to 51, we didn't do the best job possible recruiting candidates, again.

GOP Route To 51 Senate Seats In 2022
The GOP is unlikely to ever get past 60 seats, it's been a century and half since they had 60% of the Senate seats, which means the ONLY way they can pass the Federal Abortion Ban that Biden fears is IF the Dems put in a carveout for abortion in the filibuster. You folks need to keep a closer eye on post-cog Joe. He's often worse than just wrong, he's irresistibly drawn to the most damaging policy position.

If Biden gets what he is demanding, "that sets up the Senate GOP to pass whatever it want on abortion in 2025 with 51 votes and to rightly blame Democrats for having set the precedent that made it possible." Again!

Dopey Joe and even dopier AOC are sobbing that Congress should be able to legislate abortion via simple majorities? Does this blatant idiocy not embarrass you?

Your question is one of the dumbest questions I've ever seen posted on here.... And there is real stiff competition for that title too...

He supports a "carve-out" so the D's will make it legal everywhere.... like it was and will be again....

    https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...libuster-carveout-to-protect-abortion-rights/

Even you should have picked up on that one...

Well, before you start pointing the finger about the intelligence of various positions, consider the two potential scenarios:

    1. GOP President and GOP Senate With an uncarved filibuster still in place.
    2. GOP President and GOP Senate with a filibuster carveout for abortion in place.
Which is more likely to result in the Federal Abortion ban that Biden fears, Scenario 1 or 2?

Nope, the authoritarians are the trumplicans. That's why they stormed the Capitol to over turn democracy.

There hasn't been a filibuster in decades.
There only right now, exists the threat of a filibuster.

Federal Abortion ban is not a thing and will never happen.

Biden's carve out, which will never be a thing either with a 52-48 GOP Senate, would only be for restoring rights... If we ever get either scenario above, we're all going to be too busy building our bunkers to worry about personal human rights (and we'll have the abortions in the bunkers)...

We'll very likely have a GOP President and Senate in 2025.

and if it is Trump - they will eliminate the filabuster to get whatever agenda they want pushed through. He will squeeze McConnell out to get the Majority Leader in place that will do this.

Liberals will blow a gasket, despite all of their complaints
Republicans will rationalize it by saying, even though you failed, it was ok when you wanted to do it

LOL... doubt that too, since the MAGA party has no governing agenda, that requires the US Senate to do anything except appoint judges..

The agenda is having no agenda.... since understanding one is beyond the average MAGA....

You are going to be in for a shock come 2025; If you thought 2017-2020 was bad, that will be a walk in the park compared to complete Trump control

    Trump will let nothing stop

    Building the wall
Voter ID and voting restricting requirements
    any tax changes he wants

You're future-tripping. I expect a few more changes of power in fairly rapid succession. When one side gains an edge, they will use their power to abuse the recently vanquished, then power will change hands, and that same power will then be trained on them. A few cycles of this and the more intelligent will recognise the dynamic and call for respect and mutual restraint, a process that Manchin has already begun. The end result of this near parity will be greater moderation by both sides.

Even now, 7 moderates, made up of GOP/Dems, working cooperatively, could effectively take control, by working cooperatively with 45 or so of either party.

Did you notice that McConnell and Biden worked out a deal where Biden nominates a pro-Life judge for the Kentucky district and McConnell has guaranteed confirmation? Biden didn't give that away, that was a trade of some sort. A lot of that goes on. There is a certain amount of the "strife" that is like professional wrestling, a carefully choreographed show.

Winning is never as good as you think it will be,
Losing is never as bad as you fear.

Then we (me and "Independent" voters) need to ensure that doesn't happen.... We do have the raw numbers, you know... with more coming of age every day...

A lot of people don't care - if the economy is bad, they will vote out the incumbent

That first part is true, but I think you are oversimplifying the result... There are many single issue voters out there (like myself - not the economy), but I know many people who consider multiple issues before they fill in the circle... Comparing the economy to a party that is now openly corrupt on just about every level, like this Wisconsin story, shouldn't take NASA level computing to solve...

The WI Supreme Court is correct.

You have no idea what democracy even is.

Correct, seeing there is no replacement.

You don't even know what democratic means.

I KNOW Wisconsin is a majority Republican state (oh, and I actually live here and actually talk to people here).

There are A LOT of farmers here who are pissed off because their farming expenses have skyrocketed due to your boy Biden's war against carbon based fuels (and his simultaneous sanctions against Russian oil). People here know that it is just ideological bullshit, chasing the "green energy" pipedream, and that this ideological bullshit is what is causing prices to skyrocket (not Putin).

So you're mad because Democrats can't gerrymander Wisconsin in their favor??

At least be happy that the court system threw Democrats a bone and gave them a much more competitive WI-1 district that Democrats gerrymandered by removing the portion of Waukesha Co from it and adding in portions of Milwaukee, Rock, and Dane in its place. Don't worry, Republicans will still win that district in November though.

You should also be happy that WI-3 didn't become redder like Republicans wanted to make it. Instead, it remains a slightly red-leaning toss-up that Republicans should win come November. In the end, Republicans should win 6 of the 8 districts, with Democrats only winning the Madison and Milwaukee districts.

It's not my fault that the Democrats here largely live clumped up on top of each other inside of Madison and Milwaukee while conservatives spread themselves out all across the State. What you are calling "gerrymandering" is largely a natural result of where Democrats choose to live in comparison to Republicans.

Democrats also tried to gerrymander our state level maps (for instance, they wanted to muck up one district by removing a lot of the rural areas around Watertown that lean Republican and replace them with areas within the city of Sun Prairie which lean Democrat). Thankfully the court system did not allow that crap to go through, so if November goes well enough there might be a chance at getting a super majority in the legislature. One can only hope! :)

I consider communism to be a horseshit style of power control (not a federated republic). If you like communism, then get out of Wisconsin. Neighboring Illinois would love to have you (and even there, just the Shitcago area).

MAGA's are Americans, whether you like it or not.

That's quite apparent. He doesn't care what Wisconsin law says.

    Bingo.

Hahahahaha that's funny. Of course he didn't. He doesn't recognize the existence of law. He is run purely by his emotions, not by law.

    Bingo.

    Bingo.

Hopefully a number of the liberals who are mad about our 1849 abortion law can flock out of here too, maybe bump that number up to R+5? ;) I'm all for it.

Did you bother reading that the senate did not confirm Evers' nominated replacement??

    Didja??

Read the Wisconsin state law regarding this issue while you're at it too... it's already been provided to you.

Governor Evers has failed to nominate a candidate that the Senate approves of. Maybe Evers should nominate a suitable candidate...?? Seems to me like the hold up is Evers...

No need to get sick and sexual on us dude... But yes, this guy will apparently remain in office until Evers (or another governor, come November) can nominate a suitable candidate for the position.

    Puke.
