The price of gas in my town has just gone down 10 cents to $4.79 since the height of $4.99 in the Biden gas crisis. I don't want to jinx it, but it looks like things are slowly getting better.

Previously, I've said that as a democrat if gas prices go to $5 I'm not voting for the democratic party and if gas prices rise to $7 I'm going to automatically switch parties to be a Republican.

But, somehow, now things seem to be reversing. It must be due to good policies, good Gov and Fed policies, and an improving economy. Oh, and somehow the price of oil must be going down. Maybe because the oil reserve went to a Chinese refinery rather than a Texas one. Who knows?

Biden's handlers have decided to get in bed with the Saudi's and sell them advanced weapon systems. Therefore the price of gasoline at the pump goes down a few cents. That's it in a nutshell.

Sadly, calm before the storm - I think that we will be over $6 by Labor Day

Unfortunately, things aren't getting any better. This is actually a sign of things getting worse. I say that because this decrease in price is not due to increased supply of any kind, but rather due to people being financially pressured to "cut back" on their leisurely travel that they'd otherwise be doing (IOW, a pressured demand reduction). Let's just say that I currently do less leisurely travel than I did during the Trump-era... This financially pressured reduction in demand is causing prices to level out and even come down a bit, but such a forced demand reduction is not prosperity.

So long as the Biden Regime's "6uild 6ack 6etter" "climate change mitigation" energy policies remain in place, the prices of carbon based fuels (and in extension everything else) will remain sky high.

So long as government continues to spend money that it doesn't have, inflation will continue to skyrocket. A cash crash or a debt crash is inevitable at this point (only a matter of time).

It probably won't be too long before gas prices go over $5 in your area (maybe even by the end of Summer?) ... They were getting pretty high here in Wisconsin until they just now dipped juuuuuuuuust below $4 at the cheapest stations in my area.

My guess is that, per the prices you mention above, you will not be voting for the Democratic Party come November, and if Biden's ideological energy policies remain in effect (and especially if Biden gets us into WW3 with Russia under guise of "Putin causing food shortages") I'm guessing that you will be switching over to the Republican Party come 2024.

    They aren't, unfortunately (see above).

See my above explanation for what is going on right now. People being financially pressured to cut back on their demand is not a sign of improvement (it is actually a sign of things getting even worse).

We are already in an economic depression (since the Democrat's COVID-tyranny of 2020, where they shut down the Main Street economy while allowing the big corporate economy to remain open), which was made worse by the Democrat's "COVID" spending bill in March 2021. It remains to be seen whether or not this Biden Regime depression becomes greater than the FDR-era depression.

If I can summarize what is happening right now in a "big-picture" sort of way, all of these issues of gas prices, food prices, energy prices, and inflation all stem from the Biden Regime's "6uild 6ack 6etter" "green energy" agenda... IOW, it all stems from the Regime's war against carbon-based fuels and their ideological agenda to replace those fuels with "green energy" (wind, solar). You might recognize this as the "transition" over to "sustainable energy". The high prices of everything (the suffering of the working class citizenry) is the price that is being paid for the Biden Regime (and the Democrat Party) going down this path, and they don't give a **** that such people are suffering and even losing their lives because of this, because for them (and the Democrat Party in general) "the ends justify the means"... And this all stems from the agenda of the World Economic Forum (Klaus Schwab).

You might be noticing a global economic cleaving taking place right now... It is between the WEF-aligned pro-globalist governments [such as Canada, the States of America, much of Europe, Australia, and New Zealand) and BRICS-aligned pro-nationalist governments [such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, South America, and other countries who are slowly starting to economically ally with them) who wish to retain power/control over their own governments rather than the WEF dictating policy FOR them. Team WEF is all about "green energy", while Team BRICS is all about the much more efficient "carbon-based energy".

You might also be noticing how the working class citizenry in WEF-aligned countries are suffering as a result of "green energy" policies being implemented, and the uprisings of these people across the world that are taking place as a result. For example, Dutch farmers in the Netherlands are currently uprising against their government because their government is currently destroying their livelihoods via "green energy" "climate change" policy that is taking their farms and farmland away from them, which is how those people provide for themselves (and how they provide for much of the world's food supply via exporting the food they grow to less fertile countries).

Maybe now you can see how "green energy" "climate change mitigation" policy is leading towards (well, has already led towards) an ever increasing global food supply crisis (which WILL be blamed on Putin, and WILL be the "justification" for NATO countries to go to war against Russia). You might also have heard about how these same WEF-aligned people want you to "own nothing and be happy about it", and how they want you to "eat plant based foods" and "eat crickets". You're already being prepped that this crap is somehow "good for you" rather than eating actual animal meat product that is actually good for you.

This "green new deal" crap that is causing all of these issues I speak of is precisely why I will never ever even consider for one second voting for any Democrat politician ever again. Unfortunately, the Republican side of the isle has many "RINOs" who are allied with the same "green new deal" crap and are no better than Democrats are. At least Republicans have some good people on their side of the isle who aren't allied with that crap, and even the RINOs at least act as controlled opposition.

Why is Biden sending some of our strategic oil reserves over to China?? Seems kinda stupid, doesn't it?

CORRECTION for those unaware of what the BRICS acronym stands for: This was typed in error... I meant to say South Africa (the country), not South America (the continent), although many South American countries will likely join the BRICS side of things...

    GasBike.net

Before I bought my motorcycle, I bought a 79cc 4-stroke motorized bicycle from them that has 26 inch wheels with 4-in tires and the gas tank is built into the top tube of the frame. .75 gallon tank......100 miles a tank so 130 miles on one gallon of gas.

I can ride the hell out of the thing basically all week long before I even have to contemplate putting three quarters of a gallon of gas in the tank.

In the UK the government has plans to phase out petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030. Back to a pedal bicycle for us Fatback. Water cooling system by mouth and 20 miles on a plateful of bacon and bread. :)

    Not true.
What is being phased out is the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles.

So, will it go down anywhere even close to where it was before?

That's kind of like saying it was $3.50, then it went up to $5.00, but now it has gone down to $4.90 so you think that is all wonderful.

You do realize that is a complete TEMPORARY fix, not sustainable. I guess you're happy about them depleting the strategic reserves the country was saving up for a war-time emergency.

That's like saying you were financially struggling, but ever since you began tapping into your life savings for the past 6 months you have been living like a king.

I seem to recall that gas prices went up to $5 and then went down again. Sometime during George W Bush or early Obama.

I remember because my English teacher was proven wrong when he earlier said that gas cars would be through as soon as gas reached $5.

When I started this thread, I had the feeling that the release of the strategic reserve didn't play a part in this latest drop in the gas price, because the gas price went down before, and then, like the conservatives on this board predicted, the price went up again. So, this latest price drop was for different reasons.

Let me guess, you live in a very high cost of living area. California? New York City? D.C. ?

I live on the east end of Long Island, New York.

Expensive doesn't even begin to cover it. But as a local here, there are a ton of jobs dedicated to the tourist industry. Beaches, golf courses, state parks, farms and flower shops, historical sights, wineries, etc.

And rental properties and apartments are so expensive that they are targeted only at tourists. Instead, one lives in a generational house or moves out of the area. There is no middle ground.

But at $4.79, the gas prices here aren't the most expensive in the country. I think I saw a table of prices, and gas reached $6 in some areas of the country. Count your blessings, I say!

The average price of gas in Mexico in equivalent dollars is ~$3. It's even less in Russia and other parts of the world. You might notice that WEF-aligned countries are paying through the teeth for gas, but BRICS-aligned countries are generally paying less for gas.

... which logically concludes with the phasing out of all petrol and diesel vehicles, as there will be no new ones to replace the old ones.

No, it won't. Not unless we reverse course from the "green new deal" energy policy that is being implemented via executive fiat (and the soon-to-be-declared "climate emergency")

    Bingo. $4.90 is not $3.50

It was during early Obama... I want to say around June of 2008.

Right. The strategic reserve releases do technically have SOME effect on gas prices (reducing them ever so slightly), but the ever so slight drop is effectively nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The latest drop in price that is occurring currently is due to decreased demand. IOW, people are changing their travel habits and doing whatever they can to save money. That means combining a bunch of trips into one trip, not going on as many (or any) vacations or long drives, etc... That reduced demand has led to gas prices temporarily coming down somewhat. They will eventually start going back up again, as high gasoline prices are one effect resulting from "green new deal" energy policy. Rolling blackouts will be another one to look out for in the near future (if not already).

If you would look at a trend line of gas prices during the Trump-era, you would see essentially a flat line around ~$2.30/gallon national average (it was a bit less than that here in Wisconsin, closer to $2/gallon).

If you would look at a trend line of gas prices during this first year and a half of the Biden-era, you would see a line that is rising rather quickly.

What is the difference between the Trump-era and the Biden-era?? You guessed it!! ENERGY POLICY. Trump was supportive of carbon based fuels, but Biden is attacking them and propping up wind and solar based energy instead, and implementing stupid regulations to "mitigate climate change" (which is a made up bogeyman).
