Democrat's Continued Assault On Whites

Because the nursing program said it and explained it to her. They basically had to tell her why it was with a 4.0 average that she couldn't get into the program the first year. It's called affirmative action and it's not a secret that they hide so no one knows. It's not discrimination if it is against whites so they weren't afraid of just telling her the truth. This happened like 30 years ago. They had to let in so many blacks so others had to wait as they only allowed a certain number of people into the program. Do you not understand how affirmative action works?

Ummmmmmmmmmmm, you really need to read the article. Iowa is being kicked out of it's traditional position of being first solely because of how white the state is. Race is the only deciding factor in the decision.

Which job was that? And what is the company's name that did that to you?

That nursing school had a policy of only accepting the highest GPA students? Or do they take into account personality and other things put down on the application.
Because asking race on applications is not allowed, is it?

And if your story is true, your wife was not discriminated against, she eventually got in. Just took longer.
Discrimination would mean she can never get into that school because of her skin color.

 

Affirmative action was implemented in an attempt to right a wrong but two wrongs don’t make a right. Affirmative action should be done away with. However, I know things like race and grades aren’t shared with those who didn’t get the job or a place in a nursing program. So no offense but I won’t believe your anecdotal story.

 

That instead of whites getting privilege its now blacks.

 

AA was not wrong.

Well, it isn't going to be replaced by New Hampshire because then you would be right. They specifically said they wanted to take Iowa out because it was too white so, I admit, it would be really stupid to replace it with NH. If Iowa does lose out, it won't be to NH.

That happened all the time in this country up until AA.
Except the black student never had a chance to get into some schools.
So all your wife lost was the privilege. Not discriminated. She still got in.

As I said, no names were released, just the statement that due to affirmative action, some white people with better grades were surpassed by blacks with lower grades for the program. That's what affirmative action is. I have no doubt that there were blacks with 4.0 averages who got in along with blacks with much lower GPA's so you would have a very hard time figuring out which black was which. They also consider people who didn't make it into the programs previously and give them higher seniority, so that a black person with a 2.5 who had been bypassed by the program for two times might have a higher seniority than a first year white with a 4.0. But, even if that were the case, which I'm sure it might have been, you're still making the decision based on race by not accepting a white 4.0 while letting in a black with a 2.5.

 

Probably because whites are 90% of population of Iowa.

 

Look where it has gotten us? To space, walked on the moon, the most innovative century in all of man kinds history. What’s so bad?

 

That's just ridiculous. If a black with a 4.0 had to wait a year for the program while they let in a white with a 2.5 you can damn well bet it would be discrimination.
