Face the facts, if a black person with a 4.0 didn't get in the first year while a white person with a 2.5 got in, the left would have been screaming racism at the top of their lungs.

Nonsense, it's happens all the time at universities around the country. Where less qualified whites get choose over more qualified minority students because dad is a booster or mommy was an alumni . Or just straight up bribing their way in.

 

Where did I claim that non-white rule is better? I was referring to the fact that white males had been in charge of the civilized parts of the world, and the "look where that got us" does not refer to just the U.S. Try to think outside the nation now and then. My point is that the world is increasingly messy and dangerous, so maybe some demographic other than white and male could do some good if given the power.

It's just a thought, based on my personal observations and many, many history books. Please don't take it personally.

I mean....it seems to be the case that all the desired places people are migrating too just so happen to be old british colonies...mostly white law/land.

The Indians took the land from other Indians. The Commanche wiped out the Apache in Texas and after the Sioux were forced out of Minnesota by the Chippewa, they went to the Dakotas and violently took the land from the Shoshone and the Cheyenne. Spare me the "we took the land from the natives" crap.

The DNC has a long long history of racial attacks on others for their innate characteristics. I think that everyone is tiring of it. We have had enough of some Dems separating everyone into groups and then pitting them against one another, what we will likely do instead, in 94 days, is all unite and throw a bunch of Democrats out on their asses.

They did it to each other. So, there. The Indians weren't living in peace and harmony. The took each other slave and slaughtered women and children.

Although I agree that some black people are more successful than a certain fraction of the white population, it is undeniable that, generally speaking, whites are, on average, more privileged than blacks. Even those who deny this fact on this forum implicitly admit it in their argumentation.

To me, a certain degree of affirmative action is justified in order to make Equal Opportunity more real. The same applies to women who are still very much discriminated against.

And it is not merely a matter of justice: many studies show that companies who have a higher than average proportion of women in their management are more successful. Many companies have realized that, and you can see that there are many women who now reach the CEO level, even in big international companies.

And this is valid for blacks too; why would you employ a dumb white rather than a smart black? Having a black population with a higher education level than they have now and more easily find access to middle class jobs would be beneficial, as a whole, for the country.

But many black people need a little push for them to be in a position to grab their chance.

In my view, however, affirmative action should not be designed in such a way that white candidates no longer have a chance. But I don't think it's the case.

 

Which doesn't negate the fact that WE DID IT.
