I got an engineer reprimanded because when he reviewed my work, he would often write "WRONG!" in the margins without providing a correction, which caused me to have to waste time chasing him down and getting the correct information.

I tend to think it is in America's best interest to recognize this disparity in some situations.

For example, the good jobs of the future are much more likely to be looking for more education. When education gets expensive, those with no silver spoon are systematically disadvantaged - not because of inability, but because the bill is too high.

Yet, America NEEDS Americans to be contributing in those good jobs. It is how we compete with other countries, how we maintain our standard of living, how we end up with fewer people needing support, etc.
