Regarding the covid pandemic, it wasn't all guessed upon. That is an asinine comment to make but understandable because you state you 'follow no science'. Here's a start. The virus that causes SARS-Cov-2 was a novel virus. In case you can't grasp it, novel virus means is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans. Therefore, being a brand new shiny virus they had to start from the beginning. Beginning doesn't mean from scratch though because they had research related to a similar virus to compare it to. There was also a huge amount of information known about viruses, the immune system, and so forth.

Scientists/researchers came together all over the world within weeks of the first case of covid being reported. Chinese researchers identified the virus and decoded an initial genome sequence. These results were shared and within 24 hours after publication, an scientist in Scotland had figured out the similarities between the new virus and SARS-C0V-1. This was not 'guessing'. A researcher started reverse-engineering a live virus from the now known sequence and so forth. The work that thousands of scientists did around the world enabled to production of new diagnostic tools, vaccines, and therapies. It wasn't guessing, it was science being applied to come up with answers. The best thing about scientific research is that it is self-correcting, so as more is learned, old ideas and scientific applications get thrown out for new ones. It's not based on guesswork. This is why we no longer use bloodletting for almost any ailment, including infections.

Cooper of the District of Columbia has declined to step down from her co-defendant’s case following the delayed disclosure of allegedly more extensive social interactions with the judge nearly 30 years ago.

Dr. Simone Gold and John H. Strand were criminally charged for their presence in the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021. When Gold was arraigned in February 2021, Cooper publicly disclosed that he and Gold attended Stanford Law School in the early 1990s, according to his order filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

At the time, he said, “I don’t believe that I [made] her acquaintance at the the time except perhaps in passing, and as far as I know, I have not seen or spoken to her in the 30-some-odd years since then. I don’t believe that that’s a basis for my disqualification from this case, but if Ms. Gold[,] or any other party [] for that matter, disagrees, you should feel to file a motion. I will not be offended in the least, and I would likely favorably entertain a retain a request to transfer this case to another judge. All that I ask is that you file any such motion by the time of our next status conference, which I suspect we will schedule at the end of this proceeding, so that I don’t have to invest too much time and energy in this case. Fair enough?”


Neither Gold nor Strand moved for Cooper to recuse himself during the pendency of the case. On March 3, Gold pleaded guilty to entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and Cooper sentenced her to 60 days incarceration, the opinion said.

 

Simone Gold admitted in her own email that she did not raise the issue. Figuratively, at her sentencing she was still a virgin, believing in the integrity of the federal judiciary.
