Judge grants Trump's request for special master, halts review of seized documents

The judge has a clear conflict of interest. She was appointed by Trump.

Remember when right wing media said a juror from the Michael Sussman case should have been excused because their children went to the same school even though the parents never met each other and received no benefits from this arrangement?

 

Dude -it's her fellow judges and lawyers who are poking fun at the Judge Cannon - talk to them.

 

The instant "Loose Cannon" concurs, I expect. However, Humpty has, typically, muddied the waters with some motion he has filed to the 11th Circuit in which he mumbles some assertion that because he may have doodled on the documents, that somehow makes the documents his. I like the comments of the bloke in that video. That claim is akin to a pooch arguing that because it pissed on a tree, the tree is suddenly his tree.

 

I’m going to agree with you on this one. I don’t assume she is biased. I definitely assume she is NOT corrupt. I think she is doing the best she can. Erring on the side of trump for this particular application so he and his supporters can’t claim he didn’t get a fair shake.
They will complain anyway, but they can’t complain about this particular ruling to appoint a SM. It shows, once again, that the entire system is bending over backwards to treat him better than any other person would be treated.

 

We shouldn’t sink to the trump supporters’ level. For them, every action against trump indicates corruption or bias or “deep state”.
That’s BS and we should not fall into their way of thinking. Not every action in favor of trump is corruption or bias or conflict of interest.

I think Cannon is doing what she genuinely believes is the right thing. If she is wrong, the court of appeal will correct her. That’s the way the system works.

 

Individual renegades are not "the institution"... Most of her ruling simply isn't defensible. This was not a situation that requires a SM, but even when one was assigned, they shouldn't have jurisdiction over the classified set of what was retrieved, which is what he indicated yesterday.

I'm fine with the SM for the rest of the stuff, although he's likely going to concur with the original DOJ assessment of the documents...

 

he still has an obligation to investigate

 

Not the classified docs.... he's free to go through the other stuff at a more leisurely pace, although I'm sure he doesn't want to waste his entire fall with this crap either.

Remember, the BASE setting is going to be government doc, then adjusted to personal doc upon review...

Also, I guess he will want to milk this a bit, since T**** is footing the bill..... Maybe a document a day??

Who failed to return the documents the DOJ knew he had held back?
Who filed the lawsuit currently in the courts??
Who tweeted (lol.... sorry.... fake tweeted) that he declassified stuff, when he clearly didn't?

Since there is ZERO way I can think of that T**** can back up that LIE (let's beat the rush and call it what it is), will be interesting if his legal team even bothers responding.

I mean, what can you file in this situation?? They certainly can't file that it's a lie, so my guess is that will also be part of their "future trial strategy", like bogus declassifications...

I've learned to never underestimate the immaturity of Trump. Far too many tantrums that are increasingly debilitative to progress, and he is intent on bringing everyone around him down too.

 

As Churchill said after El Alamein, this may not be the beginning of the end for Trump, but the end of the beginning of his presence in US politics for his obnoxious and immature behavior.

 

We need to set an example for those who think they are above the law.

More strange news coming out of Judge Dearie's court, regarding the attempts to digitize all of the stolen material....

Federal prosecutors said they needed until Wednesday because none of the five vendors they suggested to digitize the cache of documents "were willing to be engaged by Plaintiff."

IOW, every vendor contacted knows Plaintiff T**** has a history of non payment, thus were not willing to begin work directly with him.

As I understand it, the DOJ will now directly pick up this tab and that amount will be added to the Special Master bill (which stands only a slightly better chance of being paid.

This will also delay the T**** team eventual admission that ZERO items were "planted" at MAL during the pleasant FBI visit in August....

 

What a crack-up…! I guess this shows that if you scam, grift, cheat enough people, eventually the only people stupid enough to work for you are the Rudis and Kraken women of the world…!
