Herschel Walker responded only by tweeting: “I LOVE my son no matter what.”

But it did little to placate his son, who replied: “You have 4 kids that we know of and you weren’t in the house raising ONE of them, you were out cheating and lying. If you loved your kids you’d be raising them instead of running for a senate race to boost your ego.” He deleted that tweet shortly after posting it.

On the one hand, Walker is a Republican, which generally means Republicans just won't care. Dr Scott DesJarlais cheated on his wife with multiple women, one of them a patient, and pressured one to get an abortion. He has been re-elected to Congress multiple times since that all came to light. So, allegations (with evidence) that he paid for an abortion and allegations from his son that he was violent & cheated on his wife usually come under the 'its OK when conservatives do it' rule - just pretend it didn't happen. Maybe they wil lallege 'Democrat racism' for a laugh.

On the other hand, Walker is one of 'those people'. Not usually the sort of person Republicans want representing them in Congress. So, they might just 'walk away', so to speak.

He still is either neck to neck or slightly ahead in the polls. I can't imagine him having to publicly speak on national issues. No doubt he will need numerous handlers.

 

Doesn’t sound like a guy I would vote for but his son doesn’t seem like a very good person either. Saying his dad decided to air the dirty laundry yet it seems the son is doing all the airing of laundry

Well, this makes him perfect to be the Trump candidate and the senate for Georgia.
