Russian missiles struck NATO ally Poland and killed 2 people as Putin's forces barraged Ukraine, a US defense official told the AP

    SNIP
Two people were killed after Russian missiles landed in an eastern Polish village on Tuesday, a US intelligence official told the Associated Press. The incident seemingly marks the first time that Russian President Vladimir Putin's war has spilled across Ukraine's borders and into the territory of a NATO member.

The missiles landed in the village of Przewodów, which located in eastern Poland and is a short distance from Ukraine's western border. A Polish government official said the country's prime minister called an emergency defense committee meeting.

Breaking news.... Not much known at this time, but if this isn't a missile or major targeting malfunction, this could be a major story by the end of the day...

Could this be why Putin didn't bother going to Indonesia??

Is there any politician in any country trying to negotiate an end to this war? All I see is Zelensky asking for more money from us to continue the war and we keep giving it to him.

No, because there is no negotiating with terrorists or deranged war criminals, unless they give first....

    Off topic...

"Not an inch of NATO land"-President Biden. This has the potential to be just like the Archduke assassination, and put us all on defcon 5 immediately. As for why the Russians did this, 'accidentally' or not, they may want to drag the US into the war as an excuse to use their nukes like they threatened.

Sounds like it was likely an accident but there should be a harsh response none the less. Missiles in Poland should be step and a no fly zone enforced

Not in my opinion. This is most likely a mis-targeting blunder but only time will tell as Despot Vladie has now crossed a few lines with NATO.

It's just a shame that Vladimir Putin continues to escalate the situation, and we ourselves should ideally have nothing to do with this European kerfuffle. If we are brought into this conflict proper, we must ensure with even tighter reins than before that Europe is incapable of drawing the US into conflict.

I am tired of fighting wars for other countries, they are not 'in our interest'. They increase the risks, ever so slightly with each war for our own nation.

The aggressors need to cave, not the victims. We should help them out. The last time russia conquered Ukraine they starved the natives to death during Stalin’s test of Marxism. Why would we want to allow history to repeat itself?

And yes, Ukraine has tried to negotiate.

You'd think at this point, someone should be. But hey, Ukraine lasted long enough to funnel just enough money into the democrat's election funds to make a difference.... But that's a little off topic, so back to the topic. Biden shows so much weakness at the G20 Poland gets attacked. Where the F were US air defense units in Poland? Or for that matter, where were Polish Air defense units?

Does this attack invoke Art V? Does NATO mobilize now? Do we really really have to have a war because Biden is such a feckless turd? And isn't this interesting timing? Waiting until after the midterms to make sure D's wouldn't be harmed by their BS?

Odd coincidence though..... I tend to agree with you on the targeting blunder, but if you are going to target Western Ukraine, you had better be frickin' accurate...

US is a NATO member.....you clearly do not understand what exactly that means. It also means that the last almost century is meaningless to you.

Crazy how democrats have also become war hawks. I guess its easier to shift your entire philosophy than elect leaders who upheld said philosophy.

Meh, not really, and nobody should expect them to, under the current circumstances....

They talk a better game than the Russkies about wanting to (anybody would), but it's just not an option at this time...

It’s crazy in the Republican mind how Putin does something and it’s Biden’s fault.

    How strange

Nope. Not this time. This is an Art V discussion. Biden has said "not an inch of Nato land"... this will be his war. This is the war he thinks we "need" so he can get reelected. Folks in Poland have been killed. We are obligated to treat the attack on Poland as if it was an attack on the US. Are you seriously going to tell us that the US is going to renege here? Biden has curated this conflict. He's continually funded both sides. To what end?

Yeah, but 4 miles isn't a HUGE miss if you are firing missiles from Russian territory... I gotta imagine Russia is probably down to their K-mart missile supply at this point.

I'm willing to give Russia the BOTD on this single transgression, if they come out and claim responsibility and explain, which they probably won't.

Not really. Putin acts because he believes he has the approval of Biden to do so. Just like attacking Ukraine when Biden said he was willing to give up a small incursion. Biden is the one driving the boat here. Not republicans. When it comes down to who is in the chair, Trump isn't there to pin this on anymore. This is what Biden has been trying to curate for a year now. A war. A really big war possibly.

So, help us understand how, in your mind, this isn't Biden's fault.....

No evidence this was Putin directed (firing at Poland intentionally) but your point is still well made... very strange, but we've seen it for years.. Propaganda over Country...

MSNBC is saying the WH can't yet confirm this is missiles or from Russia.

Poland is now on full military alert though....

More like Joe Five Draft Deferments Biden fills his Depends.

"Putin knows if I am president of the United States, his days of tyranny and trying to intimidate the United States and those in Eastern Europe are over.”
-- Joe Five Draft Deferments Biden

    And then Putin invaded Ukraine...
