If he used FTX funds in the same capacity, then that is just as wrong. Do you have some supporting sources stating he did as such?

I also agree that campaign reform is a must. It's way out of control.

I remember Democrats screaming the loudest about campaign reform yet here they are accepting large donations from a scumbag.

~ Democrats also were complaining about vote fraud — all the way back to Jimmy Carter. They found a way to make it work for them :rip:

FTX’S DOWNFALL: How Moral Preening Obscured Fraud.

'Theranos was the same with all the “first woman” stuff. “Altruism, cultural sensitivity and the need to project a progressive air in the media can make or break the reputation of a politician, celebrity or corporation these days, especially in the newly emerging landscape of social media cancellations and corporate ESG ratings that act as ways for businesses to advertise their ‘social responsibility’ to investors. . . . It’s no accident that our hellish cultural landscape that grants favors in return for moral posturing and patronage has unleashed the insidious ambitions of opportunistic figures like SBF, or Elizabeth Holmes, another Silicon Valley darling revealed as a fraudster.”'

Virtue-signalling Grifters adored by the Fake News Media that promotes the narrative of the corrupt authoritarians.

    The Con:
'SBF's scam was powered by a pseudo-philosophy called "effective altruism" of which he was the popular face. The idea is for "innovators" to generate as much money and influence as possible to do the maximum possible "good."'

'Effective altruism turned out to be nothing more than the new face of neoliberalism: the fantasy that you can hide individualist capitalist accumulation behind the facade of moral leadership and call it saving the world.'

Claim that their evil is for the 'greater good'.

'The ability of Sam Bankman-Fried and the liberal elite to style themselves as dazzling influencers and moral leaders employs the same brutal logic behind why corporations have seemingly embraced wokeness and its socially, financially and politically lucrative dogma: Anything we do is justified because we are the good guys and contribute to the good of all.'

At least most of the people falling for a con man on the right are getting MAGA apparel and tote bags. So they will have more to show for it than the FTX bros.

The left touted Jonathan Gruber as the go to guy for figuring out how to pay for Obamacare. When he said it took ignorant Americans to vote for it then suddenly no democrats could remember his name.

This FTX guy was touted by the left as being the wonderman of all things virtuous. Now the left cant' remember who he is.

What incentive is there to fix it, on the left anyway? Labeling and indoctrination are the life's blood of the DNC agenda..

Is Salame under investigation for stealing from investors? Or did he use his own money? I agree campaign financing is out of control but it was the Democrats who were the ones who yelled foul after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the system we have now.

Salame is as tied up in it as the rest of them.

Yes, democrats complained about the Citizens United ruling.

Do you like the system that Citizens United has given us?

Really, political memorabilia can fetch a tidy sum ;) Actually the more notoriety the higher the price tag! And God knows the left has increased his label substantially... Might want to think beyond petty dislikes and embrace reality ;)

    Scarcity = value

I suspect over half of the political memorabilia in existence is MAGA apparel.

Nothing like appearing with the Secretary of the Treasury of the USA to add credibility to your FTX brand. He was in Zoom meetings with the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier in the year. 2nd highest donor to Democrats in the 2022 election behind Soros.

Or advising Congress on Regulation of crypto currency.

    From an interview of Bankman-fried
KP: you were really good at talking about ethics, for someone who kind of saw it all as a game with winners and losers

    SBF: ya

    SBF: hehe

    SBF: I had to be

SBF: it's what reputations are made of, to some extent

SBF: I feel bad for those who get f***** by it

SBF: by this dumb game we woke westerners play where we say all the right shiboleths [sic] and so everyone likes us

Citizen's United was about the FEC banning a movie on Direct TV. Is that what you are in favor of? The government banning movies they don't like?

Seems silly to ban a "Hillary the Movie" too close to an election because it might make Hillary look bad, while Hillary and her campaign create a fictional portrayal of Trump in the "Russian Dossier" and have the DOJ and FBI do their marketing for them.
