According to the post I responded to, there are already 400 insurrectionists convicted. Not a one has been convicted of insurrection.

 

There is no escaping the facts unequivocally proving the events leading up to and culminating with the Capital riot was an attempted coup. So too it is inescapable to conclude a movement inside the POT to elect believers in the Big Lie, intent on taking over the mechanisms of elections so they could be corrupted no matter their legitimate outcome, is a threat to democracy.

 

IMO, Trump will be indicted.
The indictment will make Trump a far more powerful candidate, a conviction is unlikely unless he is tried in DC.
A DC show trial conviction would transfer almost all electoral political power from our political class to Trump.

 

So they all believe they are right while being wrong. What makes you think you're any different? The only difference between you and the MAGAs is the color of your hat.

If Trump is finished as a candidate, Biden might pardon him. I can't see it if a pardon would pave the way for Trump to get the 2024 Republican nomination.

 

Just because Don had not mustered a military component of his attempted coup that was sufficient to take over the government by force doesn't mean it wasn't a coup attempt. The term's accurate application has nothing to do with "demonizing those with opposing views." Claiming otherwise is a ruse. Your inability to distinguish between those who supported the attempted coup, and still support its leader, with Dems, is alarming but not surprising given the history of your posts.

 

The FBI didn't make the Capitol riot happen--rightwing extremists did that.
