I suspect you'll survive with little to no hurt feelings. I just hope the next time that you see someone refer to president Trump as someone's Messiah or something like that.... That you equally feel the need to inform them of your feelings that you have told me about.

My last lobster was at Joe's Crab shack in fort Myers about a month ago. And there was shrimp in a little crab with it and me and the old lady's bill came to $100 after the tip.

That's certainly a once in a blue moon occasion.

 

I don't even know if you are a fisherman.

But, the assessment was that lobster count was too low to continue reducing the population.

That happens with pretty much all harvesting operations outside of farming.

Counts of deer, elk, salmon, crab, abalone, waterfowl, etc., etc. all get watched with the objective of having healthy populations.

 

The only thing this OP shows, is the way that the hypocritically, hypercritical of "others," Republican mind, doesn't work.

 

It obviously doesn't but it sounds noble.

It's the limousine liberal pattern of thought.

The cancelation of an Alaskan crab season has nothing to do with the temperature of the water in the North Pacific. Whoever suggested it was is an ignorant fool. It was all about past over harvesting.

Note that "conservative" is at the root of these actions to conserve our resources.

If you like lobsters and hope they continue to be a source of revenue and on the menu, as well as employment, then you have to support ensuring that their population and health are stable.

 

You get what you voted for.

 

Maybe Biden dictated that rule to NOAA and maybe he wrote the dinner menu himself.....or maybe he didn't.

But, just to go on from there. Fishery management has a definition for "overfishing" that has to do with population growth and harvest size. It has nothing to do with why the population growth is what it is.

You can read the article about the fact that water temperatures in the affected area ARE warming and thus the crab population is either not growing like it once did or is moving elsewhere.

As for lobsters, regulators use the same measures. If you want to know why the population is as it is, you have to actually hire scientists to figure that out.
