Breaking: 10 LA Middle School Students Shot In Mass Shooting

What are we going to do about this? It's about time politicians woke up and did something. Oh, wait a minute, it wasn't a mass shooting after all, it was 10 kids overdosing on Cannabis edibles. So, never mind. Nothing needs to be done. Democrats and their media will sweep it all under the rug and wait for an actual shooting they can hype up. Letting middle school students eat cannabis is OK, even when it leads to 10 kids overdosing.

more minors od on alcohol than any other drug. are you suggesting prohibition might stop that?

 

Edibles are a bad idea unless you are someone with some type of chronic pain.
The problem is you really can't control it. If you smoke the stuff you know you will be back to normal in 30-45 minutes but if you eat it, it doesn't kick in for about an hour and it lasts for HOURS and HOURS. That's hard to manage.

What the parents, of kids killed in mass shootings, wouldn't give to have their kids be in mild to moderate distress rather than...you know...dead.

I'm just wondering why shooting 10 kids (not necessarily dying) is a rallying cry for Democrats to attack guns while here we have 10 kids overdosed on cannabis edibles and no one on the left seems to hype it up and, in fact, bury it in the news like nothing happened. 10 kids injured one way and 10 kids injured the other way and yet one way gets plastered all over the news while the other one is basically ignored.

 

Never said they were dead. Never said that 10 kids shot were dead. I didn't compare 10 dead kids to 10 alive kids. But, 10 kids could be injured from a shooting and it gets all hyped up by the left but 10 kids injured from eating cannabis gets ignored.

 

Well we all know they did so much to help those same kids not have to step over feces, used needles, and homeless encampments on their way to that school.

Perhaps in that context the kids trying to get high were the smart ones. Have you pondered how terrible California is at this stage? Also with the nature of California elections with massive mail in fraud, jungle primaries and so on it isn't like these kids can exercise their civic duty later and vote in someone better. The smart people are just fleeing blue states. The rest who can't flee probably will prefer being high to the day to day reality of having to live under these Democratic policies.

On a positive note, when they can't read, write or spell and thus do not spell their pronouns correctly, they'll just be applauded for the innovative new gender term they've created.

How many school mass cannabis "overdoses" resulting in mild to moderate distress have occurred over the last 30+ decades?
How many school mass shootings resulting in deaths have occurred over the last 30+ years?
Once you figure that out it should answer your question why there is no rallying cry regarding cannabis.

 

So, you don't have an answer as to why 10 shot but still alive kids would be plastered all over the news but 10 kids injured from ingesting cannabis gets mostly ignored by the news? 10 kids injured vs 10 kids injured and yet one makes the news, the other one is buried.

They would all be fine, even if they hadn't gotten any medical attention.

Well, we see at 6:30 tonight. If it had been a shooting with no one seriously injured it would be the leading story tonight. I'm putting my money on that it won't even be mentioned at all during the 30 minute nightly news.

 

A single kid grazed by a bullet would be more seriously injured than any of these kids were.

The irony is that in one way, 10 injured kids makes the news all over the place and in the other scenario, 10 injured kids isn't hyped up at all. 10 Injured kids vs 10 injured kids. This actually makes me an independent thinker because I see 10 injured kids in both examples where those on the left see it only one way. By the way, you have a legitimate argument that 10 overdosed kids doesn't repeatedly happen on a regular basis, therefore it might not be as newsworthy. Being an independent thinker, I can understand that argument.
