Hey, did you folks know that Biden visited the border?

Evidently unbeknownst to most of us, the Biden administration engaged their vaunted "Border Fairies" and well, the rest is history.

I believe they were working on the theory that the right would simply dismiss the Fairies as a "fantasy" or something..... And doesn't that fit neatly into their war on homo/trans/non-binary gender fluid felons/phobia trip?

I don't know, it's pretty stupid to lie about it.

This particular lie is of non consequence IMO.

That doesn't mean that I support lying or that it is ok.

 

When they lie about something of no consequence, then why should we believe anything they say. Certainly, they would lie about something which is consequential. You can brush it off, but it as being of no consequence, but it just further hurts what little credibility he has left.

 

You probably should take everything the Press Secretary says with a grain of salt. This isn't the lie that shifted the scale. I can't recall the last time we could take the White House Press secretary at their word.

You shouldn't believe most of what is said from that podium.

I will explain why it is important that the president should visit the border. The president and officials representing him repeatedly say the border is secure. On any given day, Fox News shows repeated images of large groups of illegals crossing the border. Are those images genuine or is Fox using false images or the same images over and over? The way to verify is to visit the border and see for yourself.

 

I have not once said it's ok.

We will just have to disagree on whether it is important for the President to visit the border. It would only be for show.

 

Which means you believe it is unimportant to know whether the border is secure as the president claims?

 

Both they are mutually inclusive and it servers a VERY MEANINGFUL purpose and it's HIS JOB.

 

Their candidates run on all these ELECT ME I HAVE A PLAN ELECT ME I WILL FIX EVERYTHING then when they get elected all we here is they can't do anything about anything.

 

It's his job to waste resources traveling to the border?

Biden going to the border wouldn't change anything.

Nothing has ever been changed by a President visiting the border.

 

The border is a NATIONAL ISSUE and the responsibilty of the PRESIDENT and being the 5th most important issues shows how important it is.

 

It's not a waste it is doing HIS JOB he is in charge of the border and the people there trying to stop the invasion that is going on and the harm it will bring to this country. Getting a first hand look, meeting with the officials down there is critical to that are you suggesting we fly all those people to DC?

 

Can you give an example of a President visiting the border and it actually making a difference?

The President isn't sitting there suggesting process tweaks. He has a cabinet for a reason.

 

You can say the same thing about presidents hurricane sites or showing up after a mass shooting.

So if nothing changes, why did Pierre lie about it?

 

Presidents visit Hurricane sites to give comfort and confidence to the people in the affected area.

I promise you, the people working at the border don't want to deal with a Presidential visit.

 

Can you give me a time when the border was in such a crisis and required a visit by the President?

Bush pushes immigration plan on border visit

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President George W. Bush visited the U.S.-Mexico border Thursday to try to build support for his plan to stem the tide of illegal immigrants into the United States.

In an interview with CNN White House Correspondent Suzanne Malveaux, Bush was asked how he can convince his opponents -- including many in his own Republican party -- that his plan is sound.

And to meet with the officials on the scene to see what else they need to manage the situation. I promise you the people working the scene are all DEMANDING he come down and get a first hand look and listen to them first hand.

 

Funny how certain people are NOW outraged over an administration lying. You'd think people who are outraged by THIS admin lying that they would have also been JUST as outraged by the last admin lying. But let's face it...no one actually cares about their side lying. Hypocrisy thy known as.

 

The border has been in a crisis for 15 years, multiple presidents have visited it. Every president has served during times when the number of illegal crossings has increased.

They were increasing even under Trump in 2018 and 2019 before covid hit.

Have any of the presidential visits during the past 15 years changed anything?

If Biden visited the border, would you compliment him for it?

You don't really care that he hasn't visited the border.

 

I'm sure FoxNews will be able to find plenty of attention seekers to demand Biden visit on TV.

 

I have no doubt ANY news organization can find them if they actually go down there and report on this catastrophe but the MSM refuses to go down there.

 

And Presidents have been successful in controlling the border and getting the cooperation of the other countries. That doesn't include Biden who prefers to ignore the now crisis that is EXPONENTIALLY bigger than any in our history.
