I believe the ATF should have been disbanded long ago. However I think this will never pass because Americans love big government. They can’t seem to live without it. I am also sure he knows this won’t pass so it’s just a political hack of a stunt to garner attention.

If you read Miller, Heller, Caetano, McDonald and the latest SC Ruling, Bruen-I cannot fathom how this pistol brace rule survives at a federal level and furthermore the 1934 NFA-as applied to suppressors, Short Barreled firearms and hand held Automatic weapons is clearly unconstitutional both on Second and Tenth Amendment grounds.

Law enforcement doesn’t make rules that violate the constitution such as the ATF. Nice try

They are not law enforcement. Apparently they believe they are law creators. They clearly are not acting like law enforcement in this case are they.which is why they need to be done

:police:  ATF is a law enforcement agency in the United States’ Department of Justice that protects our communities from violent criminals, criminal organizations, the illegal use and trafficking of firearms, the illegal use and storage of explosives, acts of arson and bombings, acts of terrorism, and the illegal diversion of alcohol and tobacco products.

If the tenth amendment was actually followed, there would only be an AT. The ATF has both good actors and bad but the ATF has had a reputation in some areas of being abusive of the rights of gun owners and gun dealers. I know, I was charged with defending the ATF

lets cut to the chase-what is your opinion on the latest shenanigans of the ATF. example, about 8 years ago, the ATF issued a letter saying that AR 15 pistols with the SIG braces were NOT SBRs and NOT covered by the idiotic tax and registration nonsense of the 1934 NFA. then this week the ATF reversed itself and demanded people register those weapons-albeit without having to pay the 200 dollar tax.

some democrats try to downplay the Democrats' attacks on the second amendment and on law enforcement by pretending the GOP is just as bad. It's patently ridiculous

most malum per se criminal offenses are handled by the FBI. Tax fraud, IRS CID. Mail fraud, etc Postal Inspectors. Narcotics trafficking -DEA. tobacco and Booze isn't all that big and the gun laws at a federal level are of dubious-at best-constitutionality

I think we need some federal law enforcement for crimes that cross state lines such as massive electronic fraud or kidnappers leaving the state of their abduction and going to another. And the original federal crimes of counterfeiting needs a federal response

Clearing out the organized crime cells at the FBI should be a bigger priority, even if it requires dismantling it and forming a new agency and a new corporate charter. It has become an agency of a political Party that is operating as a criminal syndicate and the list of RICO violations is a mile long and growing. The ATF is just a small Treasury agency, and not that big a priority, as there is no effective gun control possible at this point, and especially not with wide open borders with a narco state heading for a dictatorship run by international terrorists.

Obviously they must be agreeing with Democrats on that; you know, the cretins burning down police stations and Federal buildings, declaring 'cop free zones' in major American cities, railroading innocent police officers into prisons based solely on their skin color, making heroes out of doper gun thugs, grooming children to accept molestation by homosexuals, promoting extreme sexual mutilations to them as well, wide open borders, legalizing all kinds of nasty drugs, etc., etc., etc. So you don't have a real problem with lawlessness, you're just posturing, is all.

I think the difference is that the GOP is actually doing it, while Dems didn't.

Which bills are you referring to?

Of course they are Law Enforcement. LOL

    You de-funder you......

"The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), commonly referred to as the ATF, is a domestic law enforcement agency within the United States Department of Justice. Its responsibilities include the investigation and prevention of federal offenses involving the unlawful use, manufacture, and possession of firearms and explosives; acts of arson and bombings; and illegal trafficking and tax evasion of alcohol and tobacco products"

My first question to you would be, do you believe that non elected bureaucrats have the constitutional right to ignore the constitutional rights of the citizens? And if so, from where do you believe this constitutional right to do so derives from?
