I don't know if this is true or not, but one thing, in my opinion, I will say is Matt Gaetz is some sort of sexual predator.

Let's not forget this is the guy who allegedly had sex with a child, whom his friends also had sex with.

There is the really odd story about his "son", how he was "raising" an adult male after dating the guy's sister. That's really odd.

There is something abut him that is not adding up. Obviously he has an issue with forming normal adult relationships, and I do not think it is outside the realm of possibility for him to be bisexual and in a relationship with a man.

 

I can empathize with your position. As a believer in both checks and balances and informed debate, I am disheartened by the partisan ignorance and populist dung slinging that passes for political discourse these days. As a registered Democrat in a city and state that hasn’t voted Republican nationally since Nixon, I really would like an reasoned and reasonable alternative to mainline Democratic dogma, if only to keep the wingnuts from shifting the center too far left. You used to be able to identify the fringe from their tie dyed tshirts and open toed sandals. Unfortunately, now they wear suits and blend right in.

You have noted one of the basic reasons that I left the Democratic Party. The shift to the extreme left by the left most left wing Democrats resulted in the proverbial tail waging the dog. When I was a Democrat I agreed mostly with the solid Democratic conservatives such as Scoop Jackson of Washington State and Sen Bob Kerry of Nebraska. I could tolerate Sam Nunn. I find myself in the mirror image with the Republican Party which is more and more being run by QANON idiots.

 

Extreme left typically means totalitarian communism, but I don't think anyone in the "D" party is pushing for that. Do you define extreme left as something else? Social issues maybe?

 

Matt Gaetz is kind of an odd dude, with a history of allegations of him participating in drug fueled group sex in which other men were involved.

Now, I don't fault him for his possible sexual orientation. I fault him for the alleged child sex trafficking he engaged in.

But in this case, it seems to fit with his perceived sexual proclivities.
