…Taking to the stage, Smith, wearing a top hat with devil horns, and Petras, dancing in a cage, sang their duet "Unholy" while surrounded by red-robed worshippers. The performance drew widespread backlash, including from conservative podcaster Liz Wheeler, who on Twitter commented "demons are teaching your kids to worship Satan. I could throw up."

In response to her tweet, Cruz wrote, "This…is…evil."

Both Petras and Smith made history at the Grammy's, with Petras becoming the first trans woman to win in the best pop duo/group performance category at the Grammys and Smith, the first non-binary artist.

In her acceptance speech, Petras extended thanks to "all of the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open before me so I could be here tonight," Variety reported.

Speaking to reporters after the event, Petras commented on the backlash they have faced as artists Sunday night.

"I think a lot of people, honestly, have kind of labeled what I stand for and what Sam stands for as religiously not cool,"…

Cruz is right about this. That performance was pure evil. This shows the intent of the progressive left elites and media. Their contempt for working and middle class traditions and values was on full display.

Hmmmmm…..Cruz….who deserted his state when they needed him, escaped to the tropics and blamed it on his daughters.

Cruz….who watched his wife being humiliated by the Orange Stain and then the same for his father, but then dutifully kissed the holy ring…

This is the man who makes moral pronouncements….?!

    I don’t think so…..

    Cruz is a Complete Idiot!
There was Nothing "Evil" about it...:bored:
Only a TINFOIL HAT IMBECILE (like Ted Cruz) would have made something out of nothing to create FAKE Outrage...
    Totally, LMAO!

A strange motif to be sure but Cruz is being very over-the-top calling it "evil". It makes me wonder which of these three is actually the more outrageous showman.

    Widespread?? Really?

In the words of Inigo Montoya, "I do not think that word means what you think it means."

I would also say the same thing about your (and Ted Cruz) use of the word "evil".
    Hitler, evil
    Pol Pot, evil
    Stalin, evil

A couple of singers at an awards show dressing up like a cartoon demon and singing a song? It doesn't even crack "mildly upsetting"

The left thinks acting and dressing like satan and demons in a musical performance is completely normal. No one is surprised.

I’ll tell you something, if people are really getting hysterical over musicians performing in red devil pajamas, then we really do have problems. This is incredibly tame compared to the shows I’ve been to lol. I was introduced to guys like Ozzie and Alice Cooper at a young age by my father, (who by the way, was a pastor), and expanded my own music interests into bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, The Misfits, Iggy Pop, and so on. Heck I even took my nephews to see The Misfits once. The best show I ever went to was Iron Maiden during their legacy of the beast tour. It wasn’t the most provocative performance I had ever been to (that honor hoes to Rammstein), but definitely my all time favorite concert that I’ve personally attended

I say we ought bring back the metal and punk rock from the 70s and 80s, have them do the Super Bowl and the Grammy’s, and really give Ted Cruz and company something to cry about

Heck, when I was 9 years old, me and my brother dressed as the killers from the Scream movies, and our buddy dressed as satan. The funny thing is, none of that is edgy or provocative, or evil.. some people out there are just pansies, and think it is. It’s really not though

This does seem like Ted Cruz trying to jump on the culture wars bandwagon, a caricature of himself seemingly forgotten in the outrageous antics of other MAGA characters.

Ted Cruz would be screaming about Elvis's hip gyrations if this was 60 years ago.

Society did not fall then, and it is not falling now.

I saw it last night on Tucker. It certainly is a sign of how rotten our society has become.

Everyone please be respectful to our elders here. The boomer reds are afraid of homosexuals wearing cartoon devil outfits. Cruz is simply appeasing their fragile sensibilities.

He's a bit too religious for me, but on so many other perspectives he's right on. Though many of his questions are silly and naive, at least he has the courage to ask them.

Totally. Because what he says is real, not just an attmept to pander and reinforce preconceived notions in order to sell what seems to be Fox advertising staples, erectile dysfunction treatments and catheters.

So you're comparing this to what a couple of kids do with Halloween costumes? Your bar is too low for society.
