With drug smugglers sneaking across our southern border, illegal drugs pouring across our southern border, and known terrorists sneaking across our southern border, along with thousands of illegals from many foreign countries sneaking across our southern border, our fearless president visits our northern border but never visits the southern border.

I feel mostly safe, other than the possibility of me, in my 220 student university classroom, or my kids in middle and high school being shot up by a deranged gun nut.

Drugs and illegals have been pouring into this country for decades. Not sure why now should be any less safe than the previous decades.
But to answer the OP’ question…yes, I feel safe just as I always have. Then again I’m not afraid of my shadow like some seem to be.

I'm happy you folks feel safe. Maybe you should talk to the survivors of our 9/11 attack. Or do you not understand what a terrorist does? Our president is failing to protect us. I worry about the terrorist who are not caught at the southern border. They're coming for us folks while our president is consumed with white supremacy and pronouns and trans sex education for first graders.
    ---
Since April 2022, when U.S. Customs and Border Protection began publishing the monthly number of border crossers who were on the FBI's terrorism watch list, it has become impossible to ignore the record-breaking numbers of suspected terrorist crossings.

Final fiscal year 2022 numbers show Border Patrol apprehended a whopping 98 watch-listed terrorists at the southern border, six times the record 15 caught there in 2021 (three were caught in 2020 and none in 2019). That's also five times the number it took to carry out the 9/11 attacks that took America to war in overseas theaters for 20 years. . . .

I am more worried about the jackarse on the highway who drives like a maniac causing accieents to anyone and everyone because he thinks the highway is the Indianapolis 500. The chances are more than likely that you will die from a car accident than any of the things you mentioned.

So you had to go all the way back to 2001 for an example. Not to mention your example is one where the terrorists didn’t enter the US via the southern border. In other words terrorists can make their way into the US any number of ways that isn’t the southern border.
My point still stands that drugs and illegals have been pouring into the US for decades so no real reason to feel any less safe now than in the past. But by all means hide under your bed if it makes you feel safer.

100,000 overdose deaths is a much larger problem than school shootings which are a much smaller problem than inner city gang shootings.

You’re a smart guy so you know we’ll always nuts doing nutty things, but the drug problem is avoidable.

Yup…drug problem is avoidable as in choosing to not use drugs in the first place. Anyone who dies from a drug overdose only has themselves to blame for CHOOSING to use drugs.

Which brings us to global warming and the world coming to an end, lethal white supremacists, threats to democracy, and Trump starting WWIII.

Anyway, fear is what the left sells in buckets. Name a group the left panders to who they don’t call victims and they tell those victims exactly who to fear.

Just A Man is right, we are catching a lot of terrorists on our southern border and who knows how many got away. If something happens I can already hear KJP blaming the previous administration like she always does. Mean meanwhile the wall around Bidens house, the kind that doesn’t work, is complete.

Actually, yes, in those numbers if you use the per capita calculations on those deaths. Cocaine was a deadly drug in the 1980s. And although it has risen 5 times over the past two decades, the argument the GOP is using for fentanyl is the exact same argument they used with cocaine in the 1980s.

    https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/d...ty File.-,Summary,increased from 17.1 to 19.6.

Assuming you’re right, that’s what is known as supply and demand. Clearly more idiots are buying (demand) illegal drugs therefore the supply increases. We only have ourselves to blame.

More of your students will be killed by fentanyl and opioids than by guns.

Yeah, I'm not sceerd, but more can be done, like have asylum seeker applications done in their home country where evidence is available and requiring all businesses to use E Verify. Undocumented workers come here because they can get jobs and employers like low priced employees without rights. As it is now, in my state, E Verify is "optional" i.e. not used. It also needs to be enforced to work which is also not happening. Why? That's the way business likes it.
Drugs are another thing and we need to work with countries that provide them like China, which ships the precursor chemicals to Mexico and the cartels then produce fentanyl.

global warming and the world coming to an end
    • Climate change is happening. I can’t tell you if it’s good/bad

    lethal white supremacists
    • Is more empowered than its ever been in my lifetime and I’m 50.
    threats to democracy
    • January 6 was absolutely a threat to democracy. Some of those folks were absolutely going after Mike Pence.
    Trump starting WWIII.
    • Always been hyperbole. I will argue that has been a scare tactic since the 80s.

Good! let's let them buy fentanyl and kill off the excess population.

But how about the crime and threat of terrorism. There have been a fair number of people on the terrorist watchlist who have been caught, but how about the terrorists who are now? How about the spike in illegal Chinese immigrants. Are they all here for asylum or are they here to be up to no good?

The people who are hurt by terrorists who have no business here, and by spies are not like the drug addicts. They are real innocent victims.

The threat of crime has always existed. The threat of terrorism has existed, more so since 9/11, so not sure why you’re more afraid now than in the past. You can spend your days wringing your hands in worry about this stuff or you can live your life to the fullest and enjoy the time you have left above ground.

Think about this.... people from half way around the world show up at our border... what would be the logistics of that happening?

U.S. Border Patrol: Chinese migrants up 920% at southern border...

our biggest advisory is installing a bunch of their citizens to occupying our country....

Let that sink in when our own president is drawing us closer to a confrontation with the Chinese...
