    Heh, particularly when there is no "thinking for yourself" involved. Criticizing Soros=anti-Semitism is an old, old lefty talking point.

    How is it antisemitic to point out the connection between Bragg and Soros?

    Well in the manner that Trump and DeSantis invoke his name, clearly it is a dog whistle for racists.

    No they don't. Elected officials normally stay elected way too long. If you want to reform them vote them out, tell them why you voted them out and then explain to the new names on the door that the same thing could happen to them. This won't happen, of course, because voters put self interest above national interests just like politiicians do. I think I would like to see us go to a parliamentary system where we vote for a party rather than a person. I suspect the parties are better at choosing leaders than the voters are.

    This is what DeSantis said:

    "The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head. It is un-American. The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent. Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda"

    Do you know what "Soros-backed" means? On the off chance that you don't, here you go:

    "The effort is part of a years-long campaign by liberal groups to reshape the nation’s criminal justice system. New York billionaire George Soros headlines a consortium of private funders, the American Civil Liberties Union and other social justice groups and Democratic activists targeting four of the 56 district attorney positions up for election on June 5. Five other California candidates are receiving lesser support."

    [this of course regarding CA, but its happening nationwide]

    "The cash infusion in the nonpartisan elections turns underdog challengers into contenders for one of the most powerful positions in local justice systems, roiling conventional law-and-order politics."

    Here's why George Soros, liberal groups are spending big to help decide who's your next D.A. - Los Angeles Times (latimes.com)

    So, nothing at all to do with Jews, Judaism or 'Semites'.

    ...but I reckon you already knew that.

    I understood what you meant. While outlawing campaign contributions for presidential elecions would appeal to me, I doubt it would appeal to the public in general and certainly wouldn't appeal to donors.

    That idea doesn't seem like it will work either since you are back to the party making the decision. Seems to me if we hold these people more accountable, maybe they will listen more.

    So what implication were you referring to when you said “for some the implication was obvious”?

    You see racism in black crayons:) I’m Jewish and don’t see antisemitism either. Think Jews are more capable of seeing the reality of it then others telling us what to think. Kind of like white Leftists telling black people what racism is.hehe.

    So you see anti-Semitism because they said something like "it's all about the benjamins"

    Oh that's right it was a Democrat that said that and she was accused of anti-semitism. I wonder if you agreed with that?

    So you'd rather just bitch about Soros, and also give up at trying to solve the problem that makes Soros possible.

    He will be dead soon, and be replaced by someone else, because the game won't change.

    There is no way to eliminate / stop campaign contributions, free speech and all makes it possible. However there is a way to make them totally ineffective. Federally matching funds, penny for penny. For every penny spent by any candidate from any source, opposing candidate(s) get federal funds. All of a sudden contributions loose meaning.

    Of course not, speck in someone else's eye, plank in thine own eye.

    I'm referring to Democrats favorite new congresswoman ilhan Omar. She has quite a long history of actual anti-semitic comments.

    If you think that this comment was so egregious you should do a little research on her! She must be a walking Hitler and David Duke combined !!!

    The left assumes people attack Soros because he is a non-observant Jew rather than the fact that he's a manipulative scum bag who has tried to ruin the USA with all sorts of leftwing schemes from gun control support to helping elect criminal fluffing woke DAs. It is the same when they scream racism when people attack the incredibly underwhelming VicePresident

    so if you attack the actions of someone who is Jewish-it must be "anti semitic". That's the sort of idiotic blather that the left has been spewing for decades. If you point out that the Former Mayor of DC Marion Berry was a crack head-you must be RACIST. If you point out that Soros is a manipulative scum bag you must hate JEWS. what a silly line of argument

    All week the playing of the "Jew" card has been in play by the left. No other way to explain it. It's meant to silence his critics.

    So, you recognize that DeSantis singled out Soros?

    DeSantis DIDN'T say:
    1) the LIBERAL-DONOR backed, Manhattan DA;

    2) the DA, supported by LIBERAL GROUPS;

    3) the ACLU-backed, Manhattan prosecutor;

    4) the Manhattan DA, backed by SOCIAL JUSTICE GROUPS;

    5) the DEMOCRATIC ACTIVIST funded, Manhattan prosecutor.

    Any speculations, as to why he chose just the one person, to link to DA Bragg, and name him twice, when there are so many OTHERS, also involved?

    who else gave 1 million that fund? the burden is on people like you to prove that anti semitic bias is what is at stake rather than the fact that soros is a well known big time leftist operative trying to get socialists and woke candidates elected.
