The contract said Gasprom had to pay 100% of the costs and damages if it fails to deliver the agreed supply of gas. The only out they had was if the pipeline became unusable so that is what Russia did. Putin thought he could threaten and blackmail Europe but it didn't work. To bad, so sad. Just another failed plot out of Europe's shortest dictator.

There were no sanctions of natural gas, my dishonest friend. Putin shut off the gas supply to try and pretend he is not a short little midget. He also blew up the pipeline with SS-275. That really was just another one of his dumpster fire ideas.

So did Gazprom refuse to supply gas? They blocked the latch on the European side. It seems to me that after that it is impossible to demand a penalty from Gazprom in addition - such an arrogant lawyer has not yet been born!

 

Oh, you do love telling porky pies. Nordstream 1 was shut down by the Russians. Nordstream 2 was never open. So, yes, Russia blocked supply. Sanctions had nothing to do with it as natural gas was not sanctioned. Putin just had a temper tantrum like the child sized dwarf he is.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had earlier said the Siemens 073 turbine, which has been cited as being at the heart of reduced Russian gas supplies via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, remains in Germany after maintenance.

All the engineers who reviewed it said the turbine worked just fine that some minor leak on the internal rings was normal and the pump working as designed. So... Why did Putin remove a perfectly good pump? Obviously, because he wanted to disrupt flows as a weapon. Well, it backfired. Congratulations, that is another failure we can all agree fails on the midget dictator.
