Notable anti-Semite Rashida Tlaib has been censured by the House. It was an emotional process with Republicans accusing her promotion the destruction of Israel.

Jamie Raskin led her defense and used his opening remarks to say we shouldn't censure someone for engaging in First Amendment protected speech. His critics laughed it off and reminded him he supported censure of MTG for statements made before she was elected and Gosar for a cartoon his staff put together.

Raskin then yielded time to everyone who wanted to defend Tlaib. There were some very unhinged rants from The Squad that are worth watching. The majority of the people defending Tlaib were the vocal socialist wing of the party (Omar, Bush, Bowman, etc). The defenses were largely focused on claims of sexism, racism, Islamophobia, etc.

Conservatives reminded the body that Tlaib falsely accused Israel of bombing a hospital even after receiving a private briefing from the White House informing her that it wasn't true. She also led an occupation of the House and said her genocidal claims of wiping Israel and Israelis off the map from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea were "aspirational."

She spoke out for her original people and against mass murder committed by Zionists. That doesn't make her anti-Semite or Hamas supporter.

She supports the "river to the sea" agenda which means the destruction of Israel. She's absolutely an antisemite and a terrorist sympathizer.

That would make her very likeable, but I don't believe you. You're just saying this to discredit her in the eyes of the 'Israel' fanboys. :(

Her support for terrorists and her promotion of genocide discredit her.

It's stupid, really. She isn't even from Gaza. She was born Detroit...lol. But, we know who's side she's on and it ain't The United States.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving person. Her active support for the genocide of the Israeli people cannot be overlooked, or tolerated.

A bit of perspective is in order.

Can Anyone Give An Example Of A Muslim Country Treating Members Of Another Religion Appropriately?

    November 06, 2023/ Francis Menton

    • On and after October 7 the world has been treated to images of Hamas terrorists engaging in the most horrific acts against Israeli civilians, including even elderly people and babies. Surely all civilized people would react to these crimes with revulsion and outrage?

    • To the contrary, the last several weeks have seen massive pro-Hamas demonstrations around the world, including on campuses of elite universities and in major cities like London, Paris, Washington, D.C., and New York.

    • Here in the U.S. we have a well-established constitutional order of freedom of religion. People practice dozens of different religions, and members of one religion, and also the government, do not prevent or restrict the practice of other religions by other people. That was not an easy order to establish, but we have established it (at least for now), and it enables people who have come from all over the world and from many different religions to live among each other in peace.

    • The Muslim countries have no such principles. As far as I can determine, the record of Muslim countries with regard to treatment of members of other religions is universally abysmal, in every case far worse than anything Israel can possibly be accused of.

You've just discredited yourself on this forum when it comes to any discussion that has to do with the Middle East. Promoting genocide and ethnic cleansing is not something that you should celebrate or promote. Terrorist battle cries have no business coming out of the mouths' of our elected representatives.

I think they are anti-'israel' but not anti-Jews.

Yep. Killing .004% of Gaza population with full warning to them beforehand and no other practical way to destroy terrorists illegally embedded in a population is definitely genocide of the highest magnitude.

Looks like a lot of people around here are destroying their own credibility these days….

She's on the side of her fellow Americans who don't support 'israeli' massacres on Gaza. That might not be the government's opinion, but the opinion of many peace-loving Americans. :)

They hated jews and tried to annihilate them long before there was a Zionist movement. Their sacred writings confirm it.

She's on the side that supports terrorism and the genocide of the Jews.

"From the river to the sea" doesn't jackshit to do with "peace".

There's nothing illegal about Hamas. Hamas is the vigilante group of Gaza residents.

Every population has the right to defend itself against occupiers and invaders. :)

Do you also believe no Islamic country should exist? Zionism is the support of a Jewish homeland. You can't separate the two. Religion is at the heart of Zionism. When you claim to be anti-Zionist you aren't saying you're anti-Israel. If that's you believed that's what you would say. You're saying you're anti-Jewish State of Israel.

Hamas is their government and they are a terrorist organization. Targeted killings of babies is not "defense." That's terrorism. The fact that you can't tell the difference between defense and terrorism again discredits your views on anything related to the Middle East. It's not a good look to defend terrorist groups.

Targeted attacks on military targets is not the same as going door to door putting babies in ovens. Pretending it's the same in defense of a terrorist group is pathetic.
