It’s sad — these shootings are so common in our “developed” nation that it’s not even really a news blip worthy of discussion. The new normal
I watched the ABC network news this evening to see whether or not they would show an image of the accused. Now I know why they did NOT! Funny how when a 'perp' is White, the picture of the accused is immediate and freely splattered all over the entire span of the media -- but when the 'perp' is Black... well... somehow the release of an image is, uh, delayed.... And they think that we DON'T NOTICE THIS?!
Seems like some sort of convoluted domestic dispute (with a heretofore unclear motive). UCCS shooting suspect was victim's roommate, but motive still unclear Colorado Springs Police said the motive for the shooting is unclear, but the suspect and both victims knew each other. https://www.krtv.com/uccs-shooting-suspect-was-victim-s-roommate-but-motive-still-unclear
it's the racism of lowered expectations that permeates some leftwing news sources and news critters. it's the belief that blacks are just prone to being criminals. I first saw this 45 years ago when kids were picketing Yale over South African investments. Having studied lots of African history and politics, I asked a protestor why they were hot and bothered over the RSA when black dictators such as Amin and Macias had engaged in genocide and few sub-Saharan countries had any free elections and the person said-"but the South African government is WHITE".
The guy was unstable. Univ. of Colorado shooting suspect threatened to ‘kill’ roommate over taking out garbage, had AK-47-style rifle at arrest: court docs https://nypost.com/2024/02/23/us-ne...as-jordan-threatened-to-kill-roommate-before/
Are you trying to mount a defense for him? Are you thinking it was legitimate self-defense because that would be the only good reason?
What do you mean by the letters 'RSA?' I suspect you mean Republic of South Africa but I want to be sure.
OK, now -- imagine what a truly great day it would be for "Team USA" if we kept all criminals incarcerated for the FULL LENGTH of their prison sentences -- and -- made those prison sentences at least twice as long as they are (most of them are a slap-on-the-hand joke, and then the sentences are cut in half). Make imprisonment a truly HORRIBLE thing and then more of us will be a lot more careful about whether we commit crimes or not.... Next, we put any "mentally-challenged" person in an insane asylum if they ever commit any crimes whatever with firearms -- and we KEEP them there until/unless they are fully and completely restored to sanity (as determined by at least two different psychiatric boards of examiners). OH, what an entirely different picture we'd have in this country if we could just do those two things!
