It was a Health Emergency authorization, and it ended when the National Health Emergency ended. Giving the CBP the authority permanently was in the Immigration bill which the House rejected.

Seems like you admit that millions were ended sent back South of the border and not just 140K as you claimed.

No. It ended May 2023. It was replaced with Asylum Transit Ban

Almost all individuals seeking safety will be banned from applying for relief
Under the new asylum and transit ban, the number of individuals who will actually be allowed to apply for asylum is expected to drop substantially; large numbers of people will be preemptively disqualified from applying for relief, even though they have long had the legal right to seek asylum under U.S. and international law.

Prior to the implementation of this ban, U.S. immigration law allowed an individual to claim a “credible fear” of persecution if they were sent back to their country of origin, regardless of their immigration status or how they entered the U.S. While they go through this long-standing legal process, they are protected against removal and are allowed to work. If they win their case, they can resettle permanently in the U.S. and eventually become a citizen.

The new policy, however, imposes a “rebuttable presumption of ineligibility for asylum”

I don't have it backwards at all.

Republicans are just giving democrat voters what they wanted. They "boost the local economies" after all, according to you. lmfao.

No, he just knows democrat leadership is weak and stupid, and that Obama was ridiculously incompetent in foreign affairs.

Keep up with the nuances. I know you're smart enough to know what they are. Don't make me spell them out.

Yes, allowed to go anywhere they want

Neither you or anyone else knows who's included in the 10 million released into the US since Biden came to office.
So stop acting like you have some clue. Because you don't.

Nobody is against legal migration. But Illegal immigration overwhelms communities by crowding classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, increasing the strain on precious natural resources, taking funds and foods from minority programs while compromising our nation's security, allowing potential terrorists to hide in the same shadows.

You're somehow not aware of the human trafficking, fentanyl trafficking, MS-13 members, and drug cartels using Bidens policies of catch and release?

You seem to have more propaganda than actual facts. Most likely from what you read on PF, instead of actually reading the bill.

Republicans provided (and passed in the House) HR2 last May which was not even provided to the Senate for a vote.
Schumer refused to put it up for a vote.

This new (supposed) bipartisan proposal was aimed at gaining control of an asylum system that has been overwhelmed by historic numbers of migrants coming to the border.
All while Congress was stalled on approving $60 billion in Ukraine aid, which the U.S. has halted shipments of ammunition and missiles to Kyiv.
And the reason they are stalled is because Republican support for billions more to Ukraine have become more and more divided.

So, in an effort to get a better solution to the border, Republicans agreed they would support Democrats 60 billion aid package IN EXCHANGE for better border security.

And what did they get for this exchange?
5000 illegals a day and 1.8 million per year allowed into the US.
Which made the bill dead on arrival.
Also meaning that 60 billion to Ukraine is also dead on arrival.

Why don't you read the bill and get back to us instead of just repeating what you see on PF.

Again, we deported 143k last year, we know the numbers. Biden is letting in a LA population a year, if you're cool with that just say so, no reason to hide behind propoganda.

No you don't know the numbers, and you just proved it. You know what your political leaders and propaganda outlets tell you. No mo, no less.

The correct number is 770K were sent back and there are 1.5M waiting to be sent back.

I keep posting facts and figures, and time and time again its countered by FOX, ZeroHedge, Donald Trump and Breitbart bull-crap, which you people just love to inhale.

Your numbers clearly do not state that. Your numbers state there were 2.045 million Southern border encounters, and 429,831 were inadmissible or were expelled at the southern border. Now that also is an Oct -Sept fiscal year so the numbers are skewed a tad since Title 42 ran out in May. What I gave you deported numbers.

We can always tell when one is trying to deceive. I.5m are waiting to be sent back? LOL you mean they are here for 7 years awaiting their trial date?

I provided the data to both 2022 and 2023, so anyone can look at the numbers while you can sit there and shriek "deceiver, deceiver", and that says more about you than anyone. Not sure how 2023 twists into 7 years, but I always thought the mind of a Trump apologist was a mysterious place.

You said you had the numbers and your number was 140K, or about 20% of the actual numbers. Have a nice day Ms Deceiver.

    Cherry picking?
    I answered everything you posted
And you could have disputed my post with individual answers.
But you couldn't do that because the facts got in the way.

Oh yes illegal aliens are boosting the economy of NYC and Chicago by leaps and bounds.

Once again leftists pretend all immigration is the same while ignoring reality.

You cut out text, left out context.

I'm done trying to dispute the nonsense
Either you didn't bother to read any of those links, or facts are a problem when they don't fit your views.

    Oh, you mean this BS
You decided to list that debunked propaganda garbage?
I guess you just forgot that your (Lives are in the balance) BS didn't include the bill which allowed 1.8 million illegals per year into the US.
Or under Bidens current border policies you can't even deport them until their asylum claims are heard years from now.
You have a very convenient memory.

When were you going to tell us what part of the bill was headed in the right direction.

140k deportations, then you posted the numbers of apprehensions and expulsions from title 8 and 42 and said they had expelled 770k when your own link said it was almost 430k. Nobody is shrieking but you posted false information and your backup stated that. The point is very very easy to understand. Biden is allowing a city the size of LA into our country annually; he is removing 10-15%. He is almost allowing as many in the country as Americans are having babies and that's just the ones we know about. We are the only civilized nation in the world allowing this lunacy and you're hear trying to justify the invasion.

You ARE shrieking. I showed you over 700K people were sent back and you protested by saying its only 140K deportations. Why argue 140K when the data disputes it? You prefer a smaller number because it makes for a better partisan drivel, but the rest of us don't care if they are deported, expulsed or whatever other term you want to use. As long as they are sent back South of the border, they are counted, and I posted a link showings the hard expulsion data from CBP and you can add deportations on top of that, and you have over 700K sent back (550K + 28K + 140K = over 700K), and if you can't read it then that's on you. The claim about 8 million taken in is pure BS, and most people see through it.

And majority of the asylum seekers who are still in US will be sent back when the verdict comes through.

Thanks for verifying (again) you're just posting propaganda you know nothing about.

You would have to re-read it to show how it was heading in the right direction?

Funny, coming from the person who can't tell us how it was heading in the right direction
Now magically knows what Republicans liked about it?

Do tell us, what did Republicans like about it
