The Brits over centuries may dispute that. However bad they may have treated some of their foreign colonies, as far as I am aware, they never gassed and mutiliated 6 million of them for the purpose of 'research'.
The Nazis got off lightly, in view of the mass destruction of eastern europe! The NVA was the best trained army of post 1945, they cauld have wiped out NATO and the U.S. single handed! rJohnny Turk is second to none either
I provided you with different sources and got the same response by you - your continuous efforts of discrediting them. First, you accused Britons, second time, you did avoided Russian sources (e.g. "Prussian nights" experienced by himself , the Russian Alexander Solzhenitsyn) and third, even German sources are doubtful for your half-Russian personality ! It does explains a lot about you !
Alcoholism of children is one of the most ignored and most serios problems in Germany. And absolutely senseless agressions seem to be one of the worst problems of the bennyhill speaking societies in this world. http://youtu.be/NcREFBC_HVw
That's no reason not to fight against alcoholisms and drugs. As long as a problem is not visible politicians don't like to do anything - and if the problem becomes visible politicians likes to hide the problem or to legalize the problem. Instead of the real problems they are presenting something what they are able to solve easily. Am I wrong? Hopefully. By the way - statistics - spoke still someone about the genius of Mr. Johann Carl Friedrich Gauß? http://youtu.be/UK90jf0WsR8
Anobsitar Sexual Abuse is worse than alcholism. Poverty and drug addiction is worse than alcholism. Maybe your speaking of personal experience, but you cant speak for german society in general.
In the german society child abuse by priests and monks of the catholic chruch is about 36 times more seldom than by married man. Politicians care a lot about this nearly unimportant and very special problem. The hgaev evben a round table for this problem. In 2008 twice as many people came in hospitals because of alcohol compeared with the year 2000. In case of children and seniors it were even three times more people. 73000 Germans are dying every year because of the effects of alcohol. About 10 million citizens of Germany are using alcohol in a dangerous ways for their health. I'm not sure what politicians are doing in case of this problem. I guess they are dicussing about while drinking a cup of coffee with vodka. http://youtu.be/nkKIp8XcGn8
-Johannes Gutenberg developed a technique to print with movable type around 1450. -Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit developed precise thermometers and the scale still used in the US. -Robert Koch discovered the anthrax bacillus (1877) and the tuberculosis bacillus (1882) for which he was awarded a Nobel Prize. -Karl Benz built the first automobile in 1886. -Emil Berliners patent for a gramophone was granted in 1887. -Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered X-rays in 1895 and was awarded the very first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901. -Karl Ferdinand Braun developed the cathode-ray tube in 1897. -Rudolf Diesel built the first diesel engine in 1897. -Melitta Bentz didnt enjoy coffee grounds in her cup. So in 1908 she develops the coffee filter. -Konrad Zuse invented the first programmable computer (the Z3) in 1941.
By the way - between Gutenberg (mass-media) and Zuse (computing): The binary system and its equivalent structure with logic was discovered from Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. He tried to use his knowledge in machines for calculations - but this was very diffcult in his time. Here's a picture from 1697 AD ... or so: http://youtu.be/-1yYoKs4a7g
@Anobistar (and alcohol abuse stuff). There is something called "parents" too... Besides, restricting alcohol would be an entire crappy idea for our youngsters -- it's a sign we don't trust them, at all. Not a good idea.
Not that I disagree with your general sentiment, but I hope you're aware that alcoholism is a drug-addiction, just like an apple is a fruit.
Whole list...is pretty impressive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Germans Nicolaus Copernicus seems to be extra.
We could legalize Plutonium for private use in Germany and the effects of this desaster would be much more harmless than alcohol. http://youtu.be/xpsz87YEtc4
Yes, hmm, this list has a lot of ... let's say ... strange persons. But how could we forget Lena Meyer-Landrut here? She is funny and she is in this list, too He counts as Polish, I guess.
There is no alcohol problem in Germany ! I am 18 years old so i know it Ok, most teens are full of alcohol at weekend but i think that is in most west countries.
Moreover, she is №1 in the artist list. How dare you to call her "funny" Hans Zimmer is the last in the comosers list. Many people think he is god's I-pod. I really like his soundtracks. This was meant in an admiring way. She always does her own thing with how she sings and how she dances and people let her do so, because she's cool. And her interviews are hilarious Yeah, and don't forget Harold Faltermeyer and Beverly Hills Cop
