When Obama entered the Senate with a Democrat majority the economy was doing just fine with full employment and a declining deficit. He and the Democrats turned that around into massive unemployment and skyrocketing deficits ESPECIALLY when he moved into the WH and they Democrats had total control of the government and Obama got everything he wanted.

The economy has barely kept it's head above water with productivy now revised downward and the highest level of people not even participating in the labor having simply given up looking for jobs.

You want to try your little trick of selective data to try to sugar coat the failed economy under Obama, I'll expose how fallacious it is as I have done over and over and over.

Jobs were "created" during the deepest parts of the great depression. What is your point simply saying jobs have been created. There has never been a day in this country when a job has not been created.

The continuing economy bad news lays at his feet.

    By his own words

That was in MAY and his approval rate jumped from below 50% to 52.3%. He has used up that "credit" and he is back down to 43% approval rating and 51.6% DISAPPROVAL rating.

    He needs a new "KILL!"

The housing bubble was already starting to collapse when the Dems took Congress.

The economy is doing far better than when Obama took office.

And I'll prove your cherry picking is fallacious over and over.

I'll trust most our members are perceptive enough to understand that refers to net jobs.

    You are very mistaken, Iriemon.

    Check this out!

Democrats were WARNED in 2001 and again in 2003 of Financial crisis and did NOTHING

Democrats took control of BOTH Houses of Congress on Jan 3 2007. Long before the housing bubble blew! But while there is plenty of blame for Dems, there is plenty for both parties. Politicians of either persuasion should keep their noses out of business.

Housing prices peaked in early 2006. By mid-2007, the credit crisis itself was in full bloom. The notes that failed and produced that crisis were typically written between 2002 and 2006.

    Such as...

That's what Bush did. That's what Greenspan did. Look around you to see the price we are paying for all that laissez-faire stupidity.

As Landru points out, the bubble peaked and was already starting to collapse before the Dems took control of Congress in Jan 2007

HE got Bin Laden? He developed the intelligence that led to his location? He led the team that went into that location?

Or did he just sign off on the order?

    You are correct, Bluesguy.

All Obama did was sign off on the orders.

He likes to take credit for the hard work of the Navy seals nevertheless.

So if he hadn't signed the order, Bin Laden would still be hanging in Pakistan. Right? Right.

Obama wrote the orders, then signed and sealed them. He made getting bin Laden a top priority. That's why he swims with the fishes.

George W Bush: Who knows if he’s hiding in some cave or not. We haven’t heard from him in a long time. The idea of focusing on one person really indicates to me people don’t understand the scope of the mission. Terror is bigger than one person. He’s just a person who’s been marginalized. … I don’t know where he is. I really just don’t spend that much time on him, to be honest with you.

Barack Obama: We will kill bin Laden.

    Quite a difference.

    Absolutely not.

The British would have taken him out.

When the SEALS, not b.o. got OBL, b.o.'s approval rating was:
    45.9 approved
    48.9 disapproved

    b.o, jumped up to:
    52 approved
    43 disapproved.

That was the first of May. By mid July, b.o.'s credit for the OBL kill was used up and he was back to:
    46.5 approved
    46.8 disapproved

Since July b.o. has continued his steady DOWNWARD overall trend and now stands at:
    43 approve
    51,4 disapprove

of the job b.o. has done.

He desperately needs a new big name kill.

b.o. fell BELOW 50% approval in July 2010.
Since then he has bumped up above 50% ONLY 2 times.
One was the OBL kill in May

The ONLY previous, TEMPORARY bump above 50% was in Dec 2010 when b.o. EXTENDED the 'hated' Bush tax cuts!

    TWO "approvals in 3 years.
One for having a person assassinated.

And one for following a Bush policy that LIBERALS rail about on a daily basis.

Am I the only one that finds both odd and hilarious?

The approval ratings above are the compiled averages of ALL, left and right, and center, major polling services.

LOL! That would be what Obama gave up in that deal. It was what he got back in return that mattered.

The only poll I care about is the one in Nov 2012. All long as he finishes second in that one, all is well.
