Yes because believing in something is just so stupid isn't it? What is with the hatred of Atheists. You can't prove God exists and we can't prove He does. Yet we are comfortable in our beliefs. Why can't you be comfortable in yours without spewing this moronic hatred?
you are new here and one of the few lol. me personally i cant stand Tebow somce i am a Raiders fan as well as having to hear about him since college lol. although i do respect his "never quit" attitude and cant deny how his presence has totally turned around a horrible Broncos team, i just cant stand how every sports announcer swings from his nuts and leaves little credit for the Broncos defense and the real savior Matt Prater. other than that, i dont give a (*)(*)(*)(*) what he does as his celebration because truthfully we have seen alot worse and alot more annoying.
where's his God now, the broncos lost their last game 41-23 at home even with Tebow making a spectacular break into the end zone. it looked like he was assisted from a higher power, in any case if he was a muslim he would not be popular the OP is correct.
theres something suspicious about him being so popular in right wing media, his open declaration of christianity and somewhat above average skills may have something to do with it.
His skill as a new QB is not above avg, he is just worshiped by the media because it sells. And nothing beats selling stuff to simple gulible people.
Or it cold be that the guy does and says all the right things. The people who hate Tebow are the same people who idolize Mike Vick, Cam Newton, Plaxico Burress, etc. Those people are also the liberal media. It's amazing what the liberal media advocates. The dog killer (Vick) is idolized. Tebow is hated on.
vick is a much better qb than tebow, his attention is well deserved. this guy just caters to the fundamentalist christian market of football fans.
How is Vick a much better QB? Vick is 5-6 this year when starting and plays on a team that has MUCH more talent than Tebow does. Tebow is 7-2 as a starter on a much worse team. All the while Vick has like 8 more years of NFL experience than Tebow. Once Tebow is in the league for 10 years, then you can make that statement. Vick should be shunned for his idiotic actions. Tebow should be praised for his wonderful actions. The liberal media does the complete vice-versa of this.
vick has to get his feet wet he had a long break, tebow is overrated because he is a christian and his lucky streak will end
Ali is celebrated because of his talent and skill he was one of the greatest boxers of all time. Ali was not as celebrated by mainstream america back in his day and this was before we were suppose to be afraid of muslims terrorist. Even though Tebow was one of the best COLLEGE qbs ever it appears he is getting by on average nfl talent but being promoted because his faith as a top tier player when he doesn't deserve it
What the H-E-double hockeysticks (in case Tebow is reading this) are you looking at, suggesting Tebow is being "shunned" by the media? The most incredible thing Tebow does every game he plays is put on his athletic support... hard to fit in it with the entire national media taking a ride in there too.
What if he was black? If Tebow was an African-American, I doubt his religiosity would be stirring up such a fuss. I recognize that Tebow is a QB and with that comes additional attention, but there appears to be a racial double-standard working here...
LOL - You'd better hope God keeps putting up 40 points of offense every week because the Redskins showed just how awful His defense is...
Burkha's are used by the radical Muslims that the Taliban once strictly enforced. Now they're going out of fashion
This is evident on both sides of the spectrum. Black athletes behaving like gang bangers and thugs doesn't really raise much of a fuss. This asymmetry is traced to the societal expectation for black behavior. And that expectation is backed up with decades of differential white/black FBI crime statistics.
I think the main difference in response would be that Colorado wouldn't be as in love with him. Colorado Springs is a major evangelical center, so Tebow fits in well with much of his team's state. If he was Muslim, people would still admire his energy, speed, and charisma, but he would be less popular overall. Granted, he'd have a lot of fans in Dearborn, MI.
