In this thread I will share verses from the Quran, parts of the Hadith, information on the all the Prophets of Allah SWT (including his final messenger Muhammad SAW) and their place in Islam, pictures of Islam, facts about Islam, and more.

I encourage other Muslims on here to also share things as well.

I will start off by sharing the very first Surah of the Holy Quran: al-Fatihah

In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
[All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds -
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
Guide us to the straight path -
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

I hope it stays a thread for the good things of Islam, although you can expect a few people to turn up and try and trash it. I won't be online much longer, so I hope someone can help you keep it from becoming another anti Islam thread.

Only, my main focus with this thread is Islam and not the haters. They are free to post whatever and in this thread I hope everybody can avoid feeding them with replies to keep on going. If they wish to bash Islam, let them make another tread for that.

I didn't want to acknowledge them in my opening post, because this thread doesn't involve them.

No, it does not. Mohammed started the religion of Islam many centries after Abraham. There is no validity to the claim that Arabs are the children of Ishmael. For all we know, he died childless.

I went to a Muslim funeral once.

The women stood behind the men during prayer.

During the burial, the imam ignored the widow while she practically threw herself down in the grave to join her dead husband.

A pastor, priest or rabbi would have offered some comfort to the widow.

But the imam completely ignored her.

 

My Muslim brother-in-law used my sister as a punching bag.

The last straw was when he threw a pot at her and split it open.

She left him.

Now he is refusing to pay her alimony.

He is a very horrible person and I can't help but thinking Islam has something to do with it.

 

Hadiths in how a Muslim is to treat his wife:

Admonish your wives with kindness.

A Muslim must not hate his wife; and if he be displeased with one bad quality in her, then let him be pleased with another that is good.

I (Muaviyah b. Haidah) said, "O Apostle of God! What is my duty to my wife?" He said, "That you give her to eat as you eat yourself, and clothe her as you clothe yourself; and do not slap her in the face nor abuse her, nor separate yourself from her in displeasure.

He is the most perfect Muslim whose disposition is best; and the best of you are they who behave best to their wives.

So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do.
O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.

No that is a good question.

Yes, in Islam we believe in Angels and Jinn. These were also created by Allah SWT.

Angela or I guess you could say fairies, we're created with light. However not all angels are good, such as Shaiitan (Satan).

And the Jinn are created from fire, and are capable of interacting with us. They are even capable of possessing us.

Well I really have no say in that. Both sides have some ignorant people who will do anything to prevent such a thing, however there is no reason Muslims, Christians, and Jews cannot live in peace.

It is the fundamentalism of the three faiths that ruined what used to be a good relationship and co-existence.

Is it possible today? Yes, but so much damage has been done it will take a long time and hard work to build a strong relationship.

Muslims and Christians are both awaiting the second coming of Jesus (SA). Mary (SA) has a Surah in the Quran named after her, and she is mentioned more times in the Quran than the New Testament. Jesus (SA) is mentioned more times in the Quran than any other Prophet - yes that includes Muhammad (SAW). Muslims believe Jesus (SA) was given the Bible from Allah SWT, however some people long ago started changing the Bible and corrupted parts of it with lies.

And according to other sources, yes it is second behind Christianity.

However what is certain is it is the fastest growing faith today.
