Did anyone see it? Thoughts? My school was one of the charters in the movie;while the movie had its flaws, I thought its most important purpose is that it opens up the table for discussion. The education system is deeply flawed, and must be fixed. The future is in education.
I would like to see it. But beacuse it tells the truth about the conditions and problems of the US education system, it is a movie that will be in limited circulation and production. The movie only supports what I have been saying for the past decade. I'm glad someone had the balls to go up against the most powerfull Unions and State Lobbiest in the USA. The problem with discution on US education are several: 1) the haves (the employees of the education system) do not want change of their complacent easy lifestyle job of easy money. 2) the tax funded unions are so powerfull, that they have money and political power to maipulate public opinion with propaganda for their benifit. 3) parents are the second and third generation of the schools system that produced thier simple minded spoiled mentality. Hence they are not able to see the reality of their kids future. As they do not know better. 4) The politicans and governments (State) do not have the power to go against the education system. As they will not be re-elected if they try to touch any benifit or pension of the educators and their unions. 5) when you complie these problems, you will see that their is no way to change the educators. 6) and the USA public schools think they are the best public schools in the world. But they are: only in pay, benifits, and easy work. Solutions: None. 1) throwing more money at the schools only make them biger and more politicaly powerfull. And have proven to fail even worst. 2) all the excuses of educators cost money, and taxpayers/governments fall for it. As a result US States are in huge debt, and the Schools they have created will bring down the other public services with them. 3) Changing the system and methods, and training, has been refered to, and has continued to fail with pride. 4) Allow the schools more money and time, has failed also. 5) abolish taxpayer govenrment public schools will never be considered. As educators will need to get real jobs in real private schools. And the private sector will be overwhelmed with failed adults with bad work ethics and lazy non-accountable attitudes. Overall, the USA public education system is a growing failure of the USA, and it's here to stay and will continue to rank lower each year as other nations learn from the failures of the USA education systems. All we can do is accept it. People don't change, especially those who work in the US Public schools. As their psychological and character make up is like that of a school child. They live as they did their entire life, and they will never change. It's just like a prisoner who can't make it in scociet, they often return to prison for the structure and direction of prison guards, because that is how their entire life was and is. Now some may go off on a tangent with a snowball effect of extreme non-sense, as they are not able to stay on the topic and focus on the entirety of the problem, and dilute to a weard and estreme topic losing touch of the real issues at hand.
Well I did see it and some of the stats did not seem legit. But overall, the movie did enlighten me on the US public school Lemons (or losers), and how they pass them on, but are forced to keep them. Also, they have an interesting way (like all powerfull Unions), of dealing with their rejects that are there only to collect a gubment paycheck and pay union membership (and nothing more). The remedial training stuff was interesting. But overall, it only supported my observations of the US Public schools system and how they have their own subculture of justice, laws, policies, that sucks money from taxpayers. If any tenured educator commits a crime, it is pending investigation. In otherwords, the educators have not even started doing anything about it. But they get paid vacation while "pending an investigation". eventually their clown courts will sweep the problem under the table, and pass the Lemon to another school district. It's a win win for the Union (payed membership), and the criminal who commits the crime (educator). Both get paid. And the taxpayer pays for it.
