Gingrich apparently has had his come to Jesus moment, he claims he's repented and see's the err of his ways. Who are we to say that he hasn't if he says he has? If one that converts to Catholicism has already shown themselves, it's not an easy thing to do unless you have lots of time on your hands and don't value Sundays very much. Since somehow my previous few posts were not clear, yes, Bill Clinton is morally bankrupt, and aside from his repeated marital infidelities in which he showed no respsect to his wives, he was also sanctioned by a Republican majority ethics committee for ethics violations and fined $300,000 and ultimately stepped down as majority leader and lost his seat on the house.

 

84 of 85 ethics charges were summarily dropped. The one charge that was not dropped revolved around two sets of filings, on one set there was a misfiling, on the other is was filed correctly. There was no fine, he agreed to pay for the cost of finding that mistake. The IRS found there was NO violation of tax law involved with the college course which was the center of the ethics charge.

 

He was sanctioned by the congressional ethics committee. He set up a non-profit organization and used it to illegally promote political interests while allowing donors to write off what amounted to be political donations as deductable donations to a non-profit. He's crooked as the day is long.

As if the speaker of the house doesn't have the power to plea bargain down his charges and agree to admit to wrong doing formally to the Senate and pay $300,000.

He admitted to wrong doing. In front of congress. He lost the spearkers chair. Only someone who doesn't want to see the truth would believe this man is anything but dirty.

IRS Clears Foundation That Aided Gingrich Course

The Internal Revenue Service has cleared an organization of charges that it violated its tax-exempt status when it helped fund a college course taught by former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), the organization said yesterday.

The IRS, concluding a three-year investigation, ruled that the Progress and Freedom Foundation's donations to Gingrich were "consistent with its stated exempt purposes," and Gingrich's course and course book "were educational in content."
