Hard to be too tough on the fellows foreign policy when he did oversee the stepping down of Fidel Castro, and deaths of long time nemesis' BinLaden, Ghadulfi, & Jung. If the republicans do win who are they going to convince Americans we need ot be scared of with so many of their boogey men dead?
Obama is a good beneficiary of the actions carried out by the military and the international community. I would give him an incomplete as a commander in chief, because many of his campaign promises have not been fulfilled.
Yes, I am well aware, but you call the ability to take the credit for the actions of our military, the international community, and circumstance a successful foreign policy? Why direct the credit to the President when the real credit should be given to SEAL Team 6, the Libyan people, and death by "natural causes"?
In 2005 the intelligence community had no idea where Bin Laden was. This was because Bush did not care or put resource to finding Bin Laden. In 2008 when Obama said he'd go into Pakistan to take out Bin Laden all the republicans laughed at him and said they would not do the same. The sole reason the miltiary was able to kill Bin Laden is because of Obama policies. Also the Libya situation was another example of Obama diverging from Bush/Republican foreign policy. Instead of talking a big talk and invading a country he decided on a no fly zone and to support rebels.
I really hate having to source things that happened like 6 months ago; I wish you'd guys would actually pay attention to whats going on. http://thinkprogress.org/security/2011/10/23/350896/bachmann-qaddafi-libya/ ^Libyan intervention cost the united states around 1 billion dollars and not a single American was killed. http://thinkprogress.org/2011/05/02/frank-cantor-bin-laden/#comments ^Bin Ladens death puts credence to Obamas s tragedy of dealing with Afghanistan/Pakistan and not putting all attention and resources into Iraq. ^By 2006 the trail for Osama Bin laden was nonexistent and we had no clue where he was. ^In 2002 the Bush administration refused to send reinforcements to help in the Tora Bora caves, despite the fact that there were reinforcements and aid just sitting idle. ^Torture procedures failed to provide any useful information. Republicans would not pursue Bin Laden in Pakistan and attack Obama for saying he would. http://www.thefoldblog.com/2011/05/bush-and-mccain-said-they-wouldnt.html Obama decides to intervene in Libya http://articles.businessinsider.com...1_president-obama-barack-obama-foreign-policy
Think progress is your source? Might as well use WND So explain how Obama is the head of NATO. It was NATO in Libya not Obama. Funny how you try to credit Obama with things he does not control
Like alwyas the republican response to facts: ignore htem So explain how Obama is the head of NATO. It was NATO in Libya not Obama. Funny how you try to credit Obama with things he does not control[/QUOTE]
It is America's corporate desires that have failed. As the world is prevy to the motivations of forigen aid and the USA corporate mogules greed, less and less countries want to deal with a waring nation. Remember, world war II did not involve most of the world. There are a lot of countries, that would rather abstain from paying into defense contractors war greed. And most countries do not want jewish broadcast media contaminating consumerism in their country. Hence, the failures of the man people like to blame for their own failures.
You are mistaken, Clint Torres. Why do you always make racist and bigoted comments about the Jewish people?
That is correct it was NATO not Obama so why do you give Obama credit? Obama deserves no credit because he knows nothing about military or how it works. The generals and the soldiers get the credit
I agree, PTIF. Obama deserves no credit for the major international events that have occurred over the past few months: 1. Osama Bin Ladin's Death- SEAL Team 6 2. The death of Muammar Gaddafi- The Libyan people (reports showed that Gaddafi was killed in the crossfire between rebel and loyalist forces) 3. The death of Anwar Al-Awlaki- The soldier(s) controlling the drone that killed him 4. The death of Kim-Jong Il- Natural causes (or whatever medical problems he may have had)
Well yeah but President's don't exactly lead troops into battle anymore. This isn't the Dark Ages. All of these things happened on Obama's watch but of course the credit goes to those who actually did the deed. The POTUS is also the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, so these deeds were green lighted by him. No he didn't physically fly to Libya and put a bullet in Ghaddafi, but without the bombing campaign he approved the rebels likely wouldn't have succeeded.
LMAO partisan hackery has blinded some to the point of not even acknowledging the basic powers of the presidency. Disagree with policy all you like but at least open your eyes to the obvious folks.
Look, the President deserves one iota of credit for simply ordering the killing of Osama Bin Laden. I will not give him credit for the killing of Anwar Al-Awlaki. I consider the actions of the military unconstitutional when you understand that the terrorist was an American citizen. In regards to Libya, our decision to enter such a conflict was unwarranted. While Gaddafi is dead, Obama spent hundreds of billions of dollars on a conflict that has ended in regional and tribal strife. The death of Kim Jong-Il has no relation to the President's actions. In my opinion, the President deserves no praise, but I will concede and grant him some credit for deciding to go after Bin Laden.
You mean <sniffle> politicians aren't <sob> always truthful <buhwhahahahaha> Way to shatter the illusion, thanks a lot.
No but the US has a HEAVY influence on NATO policies. We both know that Libya wouldn't have been bombed if the US wouldn't have backed that decision.
1) It was Obamas policies that allowed the SEAL team the oppertunity to kill Bin laden. As I posted early by 2006 no one know were Bin laden was. Also in 2008 every republican said they would not enter Pakistan to get Bin laden and they all attacked Obama for saying he would However if you want to go on posting lies and incorrect analysis nothing can stop you except maybe some self dignity
I gave the President the credit for deciding to go after Bin Laden. However, it is a mere iota of credit. Almost all credit goes to SEAL Team 6, who actually had to accomplish the mission.
I suppose you also think CEOs make far too much money as it is the workers that produce what the company profits off of?
No. I feel that CEO's wield too much power, not money. Their money buys them access to government. Consequently, they are a faction whose effects must be controlled, as James Madison stated in Fed No.58.
