not as nervous as I was.... after staying up last night working on the speech kinda helped.... I know its not much... but it seems to be atleast good therapy and maybe it will help people to keep driving for funds to help others....

Do you have the speech written? I certainly would point out how long the Y has been helping people since.....They have opened the door to children who enjoy the benefits and can have a safe haven off the streets. Somewhere in the speech, you may want to express how thankful you are to volunteer in an effort to help less fortunate people and people who are economically disadvantaged. You might want to share a bit of your struggle and how fund raising can not only help the children but adults that need interaction.

Now I sound like I am dictating to you...lol. Do you have a rough draft prepared?

Caramel, I took speech and it's hard not to be nervous until you start. Remember to look around at everyone, be aware of how you use your body language. Move around when you are talking and looking at your audience. They look for credibility in your words so be concise. I will pray for you. You will get through it with flying colors. I am rooting for you. Promise.

I am in Wichita....I have alot of family in East Texas.... I have lived here most of my life...

I grew up (debatable) in Nebraska and Iowa. Where in Kansas are you? I have a good friend that works up in Witchita(sp?). I'm in north Texas and even I am ready for spring.

I thought it was going to be hard for me with my parents. It was not, for some reason you feel they are where they are supposed to be, God has a plan for us all. He is happy and he wants you to be too, you have to know that. So the sooner you can start smiling, then he will too. He wants everything for you curler. I had a near death experience once, and it was beautiful.

I feel your pain as well , dont remember if I had told you that not only do I have M.S., but R.A., as well and fibro... just one big autoimmune person lol.... may god be with you as well.....

I am sad for you about tomorrow. Thank God for good friends to support you. It's good to see you posting too. I know life is hard because I go through so much with my disabilities that people don't even know. I have Rhuematoid Arthritis, Fibromyaligia, Osteoporis and sleep apnea. I battle depression at times. It is hard to live with physical pain as well. Hang in there Caramel. God Bless you and keep you in his peace tomorrow and forever.

Thanks for the rep sweets. I am sorry that I left my home for awhile and forgot to sign out. BTW, that thread got me into some trouble. I mentioned a couple things I shouldn't have. It's not easy to speak out on things I disagree with. I just know I care about members because of support from people like you too!

well differant idea, the duck is bad I just put it in the buttermilk last night, and it was frozen when I did... So maybe my friend didnt put in the freezer fast enough... YOu would think so, he is an avid hunter.....
