Rofl, I had the private schools argument in the first evening of me arriving there. I went to the lounge they have with a Tony Benn book planning to do some evening reading before my interviews the next morning and I ended up debating into the small hours with the 29 other PPE applicants, first about socialism in general then on to private schooling. I had one ally in a lib dem and she was only on my side because she hates tories and new labour and another ally in a girl who had no firm political beliefs but obviously liked me. But the biggest argument we had was about my other choices! There was a group of about 15 of us just chatting and I said Hull was my second choice, big mistake. You have never seen anything more snobbish than 14 southerners all turning to face you attacking the town, university and the people there. I said how I lived in Nottingham and that Hull had a better reputation and this gem of a comment came out: "swapping Nottingham for Hull is like swapping cholera for syphillys.":omg::-D

Inter Milan is a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing awful draw and you know how Vidic got sent off in that game in Japan? Well he's going to miss both legs because of it! For some non-tournament that no one gives a (*)(*)(*)(*) about.

So, any good threads I should be posting in?

:D I'm doing well mate, I had an interview down in Oxford for the uni a few weeks back and obviously it went well cos I got an offer on saturday. I tell you though I've never seen so many rich and posh people in one place, I can soften my accent and speak properly when I want but I was obviously not a typical oxford candidate.:???: Still, it was fun.

I bet you're pissed at Celtic, you couldn't even manage to get into the Eufa cup:mrgreen:

Hey man, funny you should say that. I thought I'd pop my round here again and see what was happening, it's great to see you on here. How've you been?

Tell me about it, that's why i liked PFPW, we kept the numbers in percentage to the real world, ah the days.

Still, you were banned from there? What happened?

      Hey Joe, how are ya?

I guessed it was you but hey, i couldn't be certain. What happened to the other place? Overrun by libertarians?

Yeah, but sky? Of all the tv channels to go for they seem the worst, though it would be hilarious to see GG diss Murdoch and his media on sky tv. :D

Yeah, Sheridan's a great guy but like most on the left he's largely ignored, it's a shame but there's not much that can be done. I would count my MP (Alan Simpson) among the best in westminster for sure but he too is ignored and has little influence outside his constituency where everyone loves him, even the tories tend to vote for him. :D

The other funny thing he does is at the end when he throws his "verbal punches" and he does the little move with his fists, he should be on prime-time BBC2.

I watched one a few weeks back and he was talking to the maker of "undercover mosque", that was a brilliant interview, funny aswell. The other program is more of a debate one, he debates issues with the audience I think, I haven't actually got round to watching it yet but it looks good. It always cracks me up when he says "I'll be shooting from hip and shooting from the lip", he's entertaining aswell as a class politiian. I would put Attlee in the same class as Benn and GG.

That Real Deal program you linked at DTP is awesome, on the same website they have another GG program aswell and there'll be a new Real Deal today. I'm always amazed at how much sense he speaks, it's hard to thiunk of one other person I so routinely agree with, and he puts it so well. Her even put me onto a new rapper.:D

Lol, I'll bet. You don't have to pay fees for uni in Scotland do you? That really should be true in England aswell but as usual labour are nothing but talk, and even their talk isn't great. It's amazing how little they've done to help the people they're meant to represent in these last 11 years, just look at what Cuba has in place and it puts Britain, the fifth largest economy in the world, to shame.

      Exactly comrade. :D

It's not really laziness though, I do volunteer work now my problem is more in finding a job which can give me just enough to live on and which I enjoy. That's why I want to go to a good uni, so I can get a job actually helping people instead of just earning a living wasting my time making people rich.

I'm doing my last year of college, I'm not gonna do any full time work till after uni, even then it'll be reluctantly.

Shame about history, is that just a part of what you're doing then?

Did you see the Rangers score? They got beat by St Mirren, I bet you're loving it.

Oxford, yeah. I'm not hopeful but I figured I might aswell apply though i'm not sure how well my college knows the procedure, you get an advantage going to a private school for Oxbirdge applications - just another argument for socialism. :D

You said you were going to uni sometime soon right?

      Leviathon
Yeah, not bad mate. I Just put in my uni applications last week, most stressfull two weeks of my life getting that all sorted so it's a relief finishing it. I've just got to worry about getting offers now.:mrgreen:
