Glad to chat. I have been on this forum since 2004, and it has become great entertainment bashing the bashers. Not that I am not partisan, I do lean right, but when I run across someone from the left with a sensible opinion, sometimes I can agree with their argument, and it can change my mind. Guys like HomerJay are flaming troll and I go after their BS, and stay within the forum rules. Glad to have you on the forum.

I use the Avatar because it makes the Cons mad. I use it to jab at them because they are so "out there". They are so hostile, obnoxious etc so I just can't help but poke more fun at them. And I use the Avatar because Palin is a "clown." At least in my eyes.

I know stupidism isn't a word - its just a "fun" avatar to show my digust of the PALIN.

Libertarians' views on social issues are generally considered radically leftist. Ideas that involve the freedom to be completely immoral, so long as that doesn't infringe on the freedom of anyone else, don't work together with what social conservatism is. Also, many libertarian positions that reject certain neoconservative principles are seen as left-wing, such as general opposition to foreign interventionalism or things like the Patriot Act.

Basically, libertarianism is the belief that freedom should be the aim of society and government. One could take the "finer points" of this anywhere from being an Austrian economist to simply believing that the government has more power than it should. The beliefs are quite varied, so there really isn't something specific that can be explored in its finer points.
