Yeah, I went to a guitar shop today at lunch, got his guitar picked out and everything. Its not a full size guitar, its a smaller version, but being only 7, I dont think he could hold a normal size guitar. Plus its only $80, compared to $159 or $220....lol. Wife grew up playing piano, she loves the Man From Snowy River songs the most. "Jesse's Song" is her favorite. The piano wont be a full fledged HUGE piano, it will be more of an electric style one, full size of course, just easier to stick in the corner of the house. Gonna practice some more G, C, and D chords tonight. Got to get into a daily routine with it.

Hi Hat,,,What a great idea the piano. Ya know I stuck with music because my brother was taking accordian lessons the same time as I. It was great learning with another person ay the same time, you do not feel so inept,,ya know???,,,hahahah
Anyway,,we could not wait to get good enough to play our first song together,,what a motivator,,wow!!. Can you imagine your family sitting around and playing together,,what fun, what laughs, what togetherness. I wish you well hat, ya got a good heart. Better get a wire clipper to cut those ends of the strings they can cut somebody. It's cool this thing blends in with his birthday,,,,perfect!!

Your doing the right thing, send him to somebody. Now it depends on how far he wants to go with it. In 2 months or less he will have learned enough to be playing stuff he likes..[how good depends on practice], So he may end his lessons and save you some bucks,,,hahahah. Hat, if he likes it, he will always love you for it.
[dont spend a lot on his first guitar, use it as a reward]
