If the right didn't have fear, hate and intolerance, they would be standing around muttering "Well, what the hell do we do now?"

 

Although we share a number of policy opinions, I've found that many on the left hate libertarians anyway. Maybe it's due to the old "If you're not with us you're against us" mentality, I don't know.

I think this is part of the problem, actually. I think it's way past time for the right to start fighting back. It's noble to turn the other cheek over a petty insult, but we've reached a point now where we're just being doormats. The libs are shoving us into lockers and taking our lunch money everyday, and we're just giving it to them. And the saddest part about it is that we are the strong and masculine half of politics. So it's like the weak little nerd beating up the captain of the football team.

 

It is childish for the extreme-right Americans to talk about hate in others. There is only so much to go round, and they monopolised it years since.

Anyone, right or left, that tries to do what the OP is doing and blame all hate on the other side needs to pull their heads out of the asses and look around them.

Among certain liberals, Nixon is actually getting a different treatment, since he did make several progressive moves like creating the EPA.

Most liberals of today honor veterans regardless of the war they were part of.

The South has plenty of liberals that take pride in Southern culture, even if Northern ones still have an axe to grind with the South.

Conservative Baptists don't tend to like the RCC either.
