You haven't shown any bias because you know very little about the author.

This OP is a critique of false doctrine NOT of Jews or Israel.

Why don't you look into Apocalyptic Literature and what it is...?????

Revelation is about the victory of the First coming of Jesus that saved us from Spiritual death.. The Second Coming will save us from physical death..

Its not a phony baloney prediction that 2/3rds of all Jews will die or that the Temple will be rebuilt or that there will be real, physical battle at Armageddon.

It has NOTHING to do with Russia or the Arabs.. or any of the political, worldly trickery that has been lauded by Hal Lindsey, Pat Robertson, LaHaye or any of the Dallas heretics.

Such a doctrine has no biblical basis. Israel proclaims itself a "Jewish" state. Nowhere in the Bible is the Promised Land ceded exclusively to Jews. On the contrary, the Old Testament teaches it was promised to Abraham and his seed - this encompasses all 12 tribes, not just one. Further, in the New Testament, it was ceded to all who acknowledge Jesus as Messiah as per Galatians 3:29. On that basis, the Promised Land belongs to all 12 tribes, to Christians, and to Muslims as the Koran teaches that Jesus was Messiah and they acknowledge him as such. Therefore, contrary to the myths taught by right wing televangelist types, "Christian Zionism" is without any basis in the Bible.

Is it possible that you're mistaking not hating Palestinians and speaking out against the less savoury politics of the Israeli government (something that quite a lot of Jews do) for hating Jews?

I read your link and I don't see what that has to do with anything. Whether the author "hates" Jews or not doesn't take away from what he says in both of his articles. Whether Margot "hates" Jews or not doesn't take away from the point she is trying to make by posting that article. This thread was about the article Margot posted on Christian Zionism and her opinion on the subject. So whether Margo and the author are Jew haters or Jew lovers is totally irrelevant to this thread. Lets discuss the contents of the article and/or Margo's opinion/comments on the article.

    Margot,

Not only is it necessary to establish that there is no biblical basis for "Christian Zionism", I believe it is imperative to establish that there is no biblical basis for Zionism at all. In the following, I propose to prove this as fact:

In the New Testament, after having created manifest miracles thereby proving he was Messiah, Jesus was before an assembly and the first question asked was "Will you now restore the Kingdom?" [Acts 1:6]

This proves a point repeated several times in the Old Testament: that only the Messiah could reestablish the Kingdom. Because of this Zionism is antibiblical because it means people allow themselves the right to establish the Kingdom without Divine authorization. This is inherently antichrist.

Let's go to the Old Testament:

    1) Devorim (Deuteronomy 30:1-3) ~ "The Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather there from among all nations, whither they Lord thy God hath scattered thee."

    2) Isaiah 52:12 ~ "For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you and the God of israel will be your rereward".

NOTE: the word rereward means gatherer - it comes from the Hebrew word "Acaph" meaning gatherer, remover, assembler

    3) Hosea 1:7 ~ I will have mercy upon the House of Judah and save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

Thus, these verses (and there are more) clearly show that only the Messiah will reestablish the Kingdom. Note that Judah will be restored without any form of war! This is in stark contrast to the way Zionists have created the counterfeit "Israel" - the have used war, hate, prejudice, propaganda, and imperialism to entrench themselves into that war torn country. This proves that they are NOT the true Israel which can only be created by the Messiah and only be peaceable methods.

Bottom line is, there is absolutely no basis for Jewish Zionism, for Christian Zionism, or for "Zionism" of any kind. Creating the New Kingdom is the exclusive prerogative of God only. Anything else is antithetical to biblical teaching and is inherently antichrist.

Thanks. I have received several nice comments for my post. This is in marked contrast to all the hate and diatribes I usually get from Zionists and their supporters when I have made similar posts in other websites.

    Thank you for your commentary.

IMO Christian Zionism is a recent heresy and bad theology.

IMO there is no such thing as christian zionism. Jews retaking the land of Israel is just another (of many) fulfilled prophecy of the Christian faith. But if that belief makes me a Christian Zionist then I will rep that label until the day that I day. Glory to God.

But the zionists are not Jews, obviously, nor even descended from the original Jews, as the Palestinians are - and whatever you are, Christian you are not, as a moment's self-analysis should tell you!

So you say. Judging by your (and margot's) previous posts I'll go ahead and disregard this one.
