Does anyone actually have a problem with states opting out of No Child Left Behind?

What would you call what the right wingers "spew" here? Love?

I base my hatred of the GOP on my life experiences. The GOP is FOR the rich....period. Anybody who supports that ideology (namely republican voters...largely right wing rich white people, or ignorant rednecks) is part of the evil and needs to be assumed evil and proceed from there. Are there SOME percentage of right wing voters, who vote republican routinely, that AREN'T evil or ignorant? Absolutely, there has to be some small percentage. It would be only logical. To that small percentage that doesn't fit into typical categories, I humbly apologize. Those few are simply very badly misinformed (ignorant). Ignorance can be corrected and forgiven. Evil is evil and needs to be called by name as often as possible. I think I've covered everything.

All throughout this thread you've been questioning the motives of parents who take their children out of government schools. I take that as telling parents how to raise their children.

I have no problem with states opting out of NCLB. I have no problem with states telling teachers they're free to join a union or not and I have no problem with the state prohibiting the union to coerce or threaten teachers into joining. I have no problem with the states setting standards for children and teachers and testing both.

And, I think telling parents they shouldn't homeschool children to avoid incompetent teachers or liberal indoctrination is definitely meddling in a parents responsibility. So, Dave, if any can **** it's you.
