Thats an easy question to answer. The American people will. So as long as the government gets the heck out of the way.

well now , that wasn't the question the OP asked ? ? the choices were clearly provided in the poll . . you haven't voted .

yes , the American voter will hopefully decide the next election by a clear public mandate. otherwise , the Electorial College of delegates will decide . . that is our Constitionally provided safe-guard against a military take-over of the USGov't . .

I invite you to vote in the poll and then re-join the conversation . .

of significant intrest , , a well respected conservative Rapunzel , a staunch Republican , and well known PF personality , , has been asked to co-sponser this thread with me , , so we're gonna hash it out , and both sides will be well represented . .

again , please stay on TOPIC , , we are discussing the candidates , we are discussing the candidates , we are discussing the candidates .

I cant help it if you failed the first rule of polling. Always include "other" as an option so that the unforseen can be encompassed within the scope of the poll. The American people are the only ones who can lead this economy out of a recession, not by voting, but by doing what they know how to do. Government action only henders the process. With that said I suppose your asking of my point of view who is most likely to do such a thing? That doesent matter. In the end there will still be relativly the same amount of democrats as there are republicans with the moochers voting for the liberals and the producers voting for the conservatives. The election process is thereby polluted with individual and corporate welfare against the warnings of James Madisons Federalist No. 41 and no one has the balls to take away a welfare queens government goodies or a corporations tax exemptions. We be screwed!

The sickness that plagues Americas voters

That's because we still have a Primary to get through. I think we need someone to start the ball rolling, keep whomever it is for 2 terms then get the person who will finish the job. It will take 12 years to unscrew what Obama has done already before the real hero steps in.

What's wrong with that poll? Out of 15 voters, I'm counting 19 votes and the percentages add up to over 110%....:???:

    Somehow I'm not surprised.

    Ron Paul 2012!

Edit: Had to add an image, just in case it 'disappeared' like some others I've seen ;)

My answer was going to be "none of the above" but it was not there. I don't think any President can deal with America's problems in a conclusive way until we are in such a crisis situation that Congress and a majority of the public will be willing to go along with him. We're going to have to go way down before we can climb back up.

Ron Paul above all else. No doubt the other candidates are pressing the same big government agenda:

"Democrats are shocked to see President Obama treat Wall Street's top banks with respect and kindness. In order to predict his kindness (Obama's justice department has failed to prosecute the crimes that helped lead to the financial crisis of 2008) towards the top financial institutions it didn't take a crystal ball, all it took was a list of his top donors which included Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Citigroup. Applying this same logic to the GOP primary election Romney is the candidate that will likely be buddy-buddy with Wall Street. Mitt Romney's top ten is made up of Goldman Sachs, followed by Credit Suisse (Switzerland), Morgan Stanley, Barclays (UK), Bank of America and JP Morgan. In contrast Romney's co-frontrunner in Iowa, Ron Paul, has a top three donor list made up of the US Army, US Navy and US Airforce."

    No one.

There is no President, or Government capable of bring America back.

The only ones who can do that is the American People.

But we know how that will end. America will continue on, slowly evolving into a decrepit Social Democracy while China rises and bosses us around by threatening to strangle our economy and liberal progressives will say that is what we deserve for being evil imperialists and kowtow to the Asian Hive Mind while our economy, culture and nation slowly stagnates into the managed decline inherent to Social Democracy combined with radical identity politics.
