Bush was sometimes wrong, but his War against Terror has stopped more 9/11th, if you want it or not. Surely some lefts will curse this statement, but, sincerely, Bush was not too much wrong when he decided to fight Al Qaieda.
Also, say Thanks to Bush who has destroyed the cloaca of Terror.

BTW what would Obama do on 9/11, if he was potus instead of Bush?He would surely go to the next Mosque and ask for forgiveness.

How do you know it stopped more 9/11s? Does 1 9/11 guarantee more? Was it a string attack? Do you have a crystal ball?

I'm unconvinced. There's no proof. Just speculation.

Didn't Bush then pass the Patriot act, taking rights away, like privacy?

It was those Navy Seals that killed BinLaden. Obama sat in some war room watching. Here's another tidbit. Don King was never the World Heavyweight Champion. He managed a few but never once did he step into the ring. Please remove Obama...and King from that pedestal you've placed them on.

Bush invaded Iraq based upon lies. A country that had nothing to do with 9/11. He cost the country billions of dollars, hundreds of US soldiers lives, and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians.

It is amazing that Bush apologetics still don't comprehend this.

They move the goal posts when the Iraqi invasion "reasoning" is brought up. We were told Iraq had WMDs and they planned on or were assisting the Taliban. This, of course, was proven false. But somehow that gets overlooked by the Bush apologists and they believe Iraq deserved to be invaded because Saddam was a vicious dictator and he wouldn't completely oblige with American policy. I suppose they would favor Obama lying about Syria and invading them too.

If the enemy of our enemy is our friend, Saddam Hussein was definitely a friend. He was a murderous tyrant, but he slaughtered Muslim extremists, and Bush ousted him anyway. He opened the gates to extremists (and widespread instability) in Iraq by bringing him down and we paid for it with trillions of dollars, the blood of our soldiers, and international humiliation. Why should we be thanking him?

Another excellent point. Saddam was targeting Al Qaeda long before the US was.

Except Al Qaeda is still not destroyed.

The head of Al Qaeda was killed under Obama's administration. Indeed Obama's administration has followed Obama's stated intention of taking the war to terrorists wherever they are- attacking them in Pakistan and Somalia.
Al Qaeda is on the run and reduced to communicating by courier because of drone attacks and satellite surveillance.

Bush did indeed start some of these policies, but his greatest moment after 9/11 was bringing the country together. But Bush lost target of terrorism when he ordered the invasion of Iraq.

Our best troops and special forces trained for the anti-terrorist mission were pulled from Aghanistan, and sent to Iraq. There is little question that the war in Iraq strengthened Islamic fundamentalist terrorism.

Obama refocused our forces on our real enemy- the Islamic fundamentalist terrorists.

It was a process of intel gathering that started way before Obama took office. Obama gets to take credit for it just like he will take credit for ending the Iraq war which actually was ended due to the succeess of the surge which was initiated by Bush and Obama was against.

I've been waiting for proof of that for nearly a decade. If Democrats truely believed that they would have moved for trials while they had power over all corners of government (WH, Senate, and House). In fact, they hd a moral obligation to do so and they chose not. Why? Was it all lip service from 2003-2008?

The Iraq War was botched so badly that it ended up training a whole new generation of terrorists. If anything, Bush took a bad situation and made it worse, fanning the flames of anti-Western sentiment in the Middle East.

We were told this by Bill Clinton in 1998 when he bombed them, an act of war. What changed between 1998 and 2003? Hillary believed they had WMD in 2002/2003. So did most top Democrats, many around during then Clinton administration. The CIA believed it. So did England. France and Russia also believed it but chose not to go to war over it.

You do know that it was a Navy Seal and not Obama who actually killed Bin Laden, right Ouesterr?

And if you feel like giving him credit for "getting" Bin Laden, how are you going to do it, by saying he gave permission to kill him?

If he HADN'T given permission, he would be the most laughed at human being on the planet. He had no choice. (assuming he has a brain, that is)

If you feel like giving Obama credit by saying that he kept Bush's policies in place, that too would be rather odd wouldn't it?

The Dem politicians know he didn't lie. They just SAY he lied. These liberals on the forum are the ones who don't know it, because they believe what the Dem politicians say (but don't believe).

You mean, for authorizing an incredibly dangerous mission that could have destroyed an alliance with a foreign country for no purpose?
