Out of the current candidates, there's only 2 that have a high chance of dropping out afterwards....Gingrich and Santorum...who do you think it will be?

    My bet is on Santorum...

I'm not so sure that any of them will drop out. That said I'd like to see Gingrich and Paul drop out. Neither have any chance of securing the nomination. But Gingrich won't because of his ego and Paul won't because he's an attention whore.

Paul doesn't need to..doesn't care if he hurts the party anyway..he's standing on a plank for the platform..I just wish he was a Romney team player..

Newt will be the last man standing..he will make Santorum look small in the next week..hurt only because of lack of debates..

:nana: Look for the real attack muffin to be out with happy positive ...

My bet is Newt follow by Ron Paul two weeks later.

Sen Santorum will continue, and continue, and continue in a fleeting moment that he will win a brokered convention.

I don't see any of them dropping out any time soon, even after Super Tuesday.

    Santorum will cling to hope.

Gingrich is to egotistical to admit defeat.

Paul is having one last hoorah, as long as contributions hold out.

I hope they ALL stay in this Circus and continue to embarrass and shame the Republican Party.

I think the entire world is enjoying this show.

I agree. Newt will win some in the south. If there is a contested convention, Newt has a chance.

There isn't room for two social conservative candidates in the Republican Primary race anymore. Whoever performs below expectations on Super Tuesday should be smart enough to drop out and throw their support behind the other social conservative. That's logic speaking.

Of course, what will really happen is that it will be Gingrich who under-performs but he will not drop out and when he does do so (weeks later) he will support Mitt Romney and effectively end the race. That's reality speaking. So if you're a social conservative you are SOL.

Paul will stay until the convention.

If Newt tanks on Tuesday I can see him dropping out. I think Santorum will stay on for a while.

I cant understand all of the negativity about Romney. He is still far better than POS obama. So Republicans, if Romney is your candidate in November, go out and vote for him en masse, your vote is needed!!!!!!!!!!!!

I predict Romney will win in Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia.
Paul will win in Alaska, Idaho and North Dakota.
Gingrich will win in Georgia and Oklahoma.
    Santorum will win Ohio.
Gingrich will keep going, but never leave the south.
Paul will try for caucus states, mostly in the rural areas.
Santorum will focus on one state each week.
Romney will win more often, and finally exceed 50% in some states.
None of them will officially drop out, but when Romney takes Pennsylvania and Texas Santorum and Gingrich, respectively, will lose credibility and not take another state.
Paul will have a big finish, making California a close race and being the only runner up with victories in June.
When the primaries end however Romney still won't have enough delegates for a first ballot win. He'll have to make a deal.

In what fashion is Romney's platform that different than Obama's?

Doesn't matter. Romney will spend them all into oblivion. Just the way it works in this here 'democracy'.

    That's pretty much true.

Of this weak field of GOP candidates, Romney is clearly the "least weak." It's becoming increasingly clear that the other 3 do not stand a chance. Personally, I believe the reasons the also-rans have not yet dropped out are the following:

Gingrich is shooting for a VP nod, another run for Congress, or is just trying to increase his value as a speaker & lobbyist.

Santorum is looking to the future - probably another Presidential run in 4 or 8 years.

Paul is just a crazy old kook that wants to be heard.

To hell with the party. Team playing is what got us in the mess we're in. The only thing that matters is the Constitution.

Apparently you don't care about the Constitution, your loyalty lies with the Republican party. Traitor.

All you ignoramuses that are always screaming about the Constitution really need to put a cork in it. The ONLY things you know about the Constitution is what Ron Paul has told you - and about half of that isn't true.

Not exactly crooks, but they are opportunists. Okay, they are crooks.

A $billion here for attack ads, a $billion there for Lear Jets. Pretty soon campaigns are going to get expensive.
