Newt will win Georgia easily. The GOP types don't care much for Romney on the whole.

Hate to disagree, but if you are right, why is the entire GOP establishment for him? (Romney)

Don't ask me. But I know the folks here don't like him much. The combination of not being far enough to the right, being a Mormon and being a Yankee bodes ill. But if you don't want to believe me, there is no need. Watch the numbers tomorrow! Newt will win Georgia.

Don't worry Newt will win and it will mean nothing in the end.

Have you just been born in the last week ?

Romney is the only 1 remaining that has the money..the experience .and the leadership to beat Obama..
    The others are just pretenders.

DEEP down we all know that..:bookdiva: STUDY ?

I heard something strange coming from Fox the other day (sorry, no link or transcript), and easily missed /dismissed.
One of the anchors actually recognized Dr Paul as more conservative than Romney.
    Imagine that.

Not questioning that Newt will win Georgia, just saying the GOP is behind Romney. The yankee thing is kind of strange. When will that one die? I am a yankee and living in the south and am quite proud of the Yankee heritage.

This is a civil war between two factions of the establishment. One lead by Wall Street, and the other much more movement conservative wing lead by the likes of the Koch Bros., CPAC and Grover Norquist. The activist rank and file (read the Tea Party and the Religious Right) are siding largely with the non-wall street. Seems to me that the two sides in this conflict are about equal in strength, but if the anti-establishment wing could rally around a single candidate, they would have a real chance of selecting the nominee. But since they can't decide between Santorum or Gingrich, the result is the mess we see the party in. Ron Paul's supporter's are unlikely to move their support to anyone else, so that faction of the Republican base is not up for grabs.

I beg to differ. The money yes, although money could come in rapidly to others. Mitt's experience and leadership is not superior to Newt's and Rick's IMHO.

If neither Newt or Rick drop out soon, and if they remain in until the convention, we could have a Contested Convention. If Romney doesn't have enough delegates, and if he's not nominated on the first ballot, then it could be wide open.

Newt isn't going to win the nomination whether he wins GA or not. Thus it isn't important if he wins it or not.

I used to say that if Santorum quit Newt could beat Romney. I hate to say it but Romney has all three of them beat, based on the latest numbers. They could pile up all of their delegates in one candidate and still not beat Romney. Why is it we can't get a real conservative elected? Why is it everyone is voting for Obuma light? This country sucks.

Newt won Georgia.. but made the looniest speech afterwards.

He said he wants to be oil independent, but will go to war with Iran over oil...

Just bizarre stuff.. and the crowd laughed and clapped.

Santorum .. should have stayed on the economy and kept his mouth shut on women's issues.

If you re read your history and LISTEN to what each of those
2 guys said in their celebration speeches..

Newt NEVER balanced any budget for 4 years Fact..why he keeps repeating a myth is beyond reason. How he just glosses over how he left in disgrace and controversy is equally amazing.

Santorum never Voted for a mandate ..( cool ..) but he voted 5 times to spend more in the budget..then he rails against those NOW in DC for doing exactly what he did back then.

He then lies about Romney care AGAIN as being a top down government run program.. IT IS NOT >>FACTCHECK.

If you listened..NEITHER one offered any congratulations to anybody else tonight ..except for ROMNEY.

Both attacked Romney...with misrepresentations and false charges..
    talk about :disbelief: Morals..

well , Romney has the money & staff , but he does not have the force of will to take Obama on , , he'll come across as " Mitty Mouse " .. Obama will tear him to shreds , and I'll wager a thousand credit points in a friendly wager to anybody that wants to put their money where their mouse is .. put up or shut up . One thousand points . how about it ? it's a friendly bet now , not a game of poker , a straight-up bet . are you game ?

I think Newt was so happy to finally win something , it made him giddy , along with a 24 / 7 schedule , but give the GOP their due , they're making a fight of it ,,, but so far , all they're doing is tearing the GOP apart , and Rush Limbaugh ain't helping things with his BS rheteroic .

now that super-Tuesday is over , maybe they all can get some much needed rest , re-evaluate their position , raise some money , and get ready for the next round of the fight for the GOP nominee .
