Why doesn't Afghan President Hamid Karzai just tell the US soldiers to leave?

Can he order our soldiers to get out? Is that possible at all? Does he want our soldiers there or not? why doesn't he just say, "We don't want you here anymore, get out" and would we?

    It could be this simple....

Because we would laugh in his face. You think we are going to leave when we are reaping all their natural resources?

You're crazy if you think our military will abandon those opium fields, we are there to secure claim to natural resources for the American Empire.

I would hazard the reason is because the U.S. is the only thing inbetween Karzai and a close encounter with the Taliban--he might hate us, but he hates getting killed more.

He won't because once NATO leaves he'll have to depend on an inept Afghan military to protect him.

He puts up a front of disdain for the US presence but NATO is the only thing standing between Karzai and a Taliban bullet.

Why would you get money? You personally, are funding these people. Every bullet, gun, tank, plane, missle, boot, shirt ect. . . You are paying for the CIA to sell dope, you are paying to transport that heroine back to the states, you payed so the drug companies could have access to it. You pay for lithium reserves we secured and are taking home. You are paying to raise the stocks of hundreds of companies. You are paying so workers in 50 states have jobs. You are paying British and Italian arms manufacturers. International banks are getting cuts, NATO is making cash. Our politicians are making bank. Do you know what a weaving web of business, military, and politcs is in this?

We kill people to make money. At the cost of national debt, so hundreds of corporations can get richer.

Go type Military Industrial Complex into google or youtube. Eisenhower warned us in his farewell speech of 1961, the most important thing he had to say was look the (*)(*)(*)(*) out. Cause we have created a monster connected to every aspect of our life.

The only ones we need to "look the (*)(*)(*)(*) out" for are paranoid conspiracy theorists like you.

No one wants to build that (*)(*)(*)(*)hole nation up. It was a misguided attempt to bring democracy to a barbarian people and keep them from becoming (yet again) a base camp for international jihad.

..or let me guess. You don't beleive in international jihadist terrorism?

What conspiracy? You fool conservatives don't see anything, and eat up propaganda likes its breakfast.

Have you forgotten the US has been fighting wars every year since the 50s?

Listen to Ron Paul for christ sake.

No, I'm not going to listen to Ron Paul becuase I'm perfectly capable of reading the research papers of defense analysts and real experts for myself. i don't need some kook old man telling me what to think.

I don't watch TV or listen to radio, so explain to me just how this "propaganda" is getting to me?

Next we'll be hearing about chemtrails.

You need to read up on Hegemonic Stability Theory.

He wouldn,t ask them to leave for one reason, they are there for his protection. If he asked them to leave he would be sanctioning his own death sentence.

The Question that should be asked is:

Why are the Afghan barbarians so incapable of Democracy that we can't leave?

Because their society is based on tribal allegiances, not a central government.

    Oh! My! You are naive.

Since when was it about Americans? It is however about those who run the system in both countries. Corruption at high levels and to hell with the man in the street.

Karzai is about as corrupt as they come and the US government which is perfectly aware of that, is not only still supporting him but have put him into that position in the first place.

Well the problem is that the world is progressing and they are holding the rest of us back because they export their tribal violence out into the globalized economy.

Quite true. Also, their #1 agricultural crop is opium.

    Because he isn't an idiot?

Of course he would rather his country wasn't full of foreign soldiers, which is why he's been involved in the plans for them to pull out. He also wants them to help (and continue to help even after the formal pull-out) with the training and development of the Afghan security forces who he will be hoping will be able to maintain some level of peace and security.

If the Afghan government suddenly changed it's tune and demanded an immediate withdrawal of foreign troops, I'm sure that, failing discussion and negotiation, the withdrawal would be accelerated as much as humanly possible. Nobody in their right mind actually wants that to happen outside the Taliban and Al Qaeda though.

Iraq told Obama to ****, and Obama ran for the hills. So, your theory isn't holding water.

We're in Afghanistan to corner the opium market, and thus to bolster our natural resources holdings for the American Empire...? Stick a firehose in one ear and keep pumping the water in until it comes out the other ear....

As for Karzai ordering us out of "Vietnamistan"... why would he do that? As long as President Messiah is willing to go on dumping billions upon billions of dollars in this worthless third-world pesthole, why shouldn't Karzai keep on loading up the cash? When the time is right, he'll jump on board his jet and fly away into exile, fabulously wealthy beyond belief! And he'll owe it all to the stupidity of the American voter who put an imbecile like Obama in the American presidency. An imbecile who was supposed to be the most intelligent, the smartest person ever to grace the White House, but couldn't do any better than "W" Bush did, and actually made it much worse!

You do know that there are other natural resources besides oil, right?

    Afghanistan doesn't have oil.

Fears Karzai will take Afghanistan back to the stone age
Friday 9th March, 2012 - Human rights groups are up in arms about Afghan President Karzai's very public support this week for a crackdown on womens' rights in his country.
